Most durable wheel well dressing?

I want to stick with a water based dressing, so I just ordered opti-bond. I'll dilute it 1:1 and use it via spray gun on wheel wells, tires, and engines.

a real durable dressing in the wheel wells is not needed IME, and i don't want to spend more effort cleaning them up as well. HD lasts till the next wash in which i like to re-dress them again anyway and it's cost effective as well. 3D Universal Protectant is next on my list as it's water based, dilutable and isn't very expensive...

Well, I just ordered opti-bond. I want something durable on tires that will also work well on wheel wells and engines. Both HD and Opti-Bond are water based, but from what I've read opti-bond is more durable(especially on tires). I will use opti-bond diluted 1:1 and apply via spray gun to wheel wells and engines, but most likely stick to foam application for tires(no overspray).

Opti-Bond sounds like a good idea, let us know how it works out in the wells.

I have been using Griot's Undercarriage Spray. I have been impressed by its durability. It sticks around longer, e.g., than Stoner's Trim Shine (which is by far easier to apply). After spraying into the well, I use an applicator sponge to spread it around. The one thing I do not like about the Griot's is the pungent smell, which sticks around for a couple of days.

This is how I use it. Griot's has a rather strong scent but not really bad. It will linger several days.

Mark, since you wanted to apply it via spray gun, and wanted water-based, that is exactly what I was gonna recommend to you!!

Hyper dressing is durable enough for me on tires, but doesn't last for beans in wheel wells. Suggestions?
I use Aerospace 303 Protectant on my wheel wells and so far they have held up great.

Chemical Guys Silk Shine with Weather-Tek. Thats the new waterproof formula. Not sure why Autogeek shows the old label silk shine on there site ?

The new version says "Weather-Tek" on the bottle before Silk Shine.

water-based, sprayable, and beads water. I personally think for a waterbased dresssing it has some of the best durability and is completely dry to the touch.

Also,

1Z vinyl - rubber protectant. Another water based, waterproof dressing that has solid durability (better than any non beading water based dressing). - again , sprayable.

Opti bond will last a week .. Nothing spectacular
I use HD and am fine that I only get about 10 days out of it. I wash my truck 2x a week and on the third wash if it hasn't rained I'll blast the wells with the PW and as it's water based it cleans easily
The prob with petro based dressings is u need to use a cleaner to strip them clean which is an extra step and extra cost
Don't you have a Vette and can barely see the wells anyway?

My new favorite is WG Exterior Trim Sealant followed by Permanon. Wells wash a hose and it lasts a long time.

I use Meg's asd. I have 5 gallons of it so it will last me forever..I read your review about optibond tire gel and decided that is my favorite tire dressing.. I don't like asd on my tires.. It slings
