Mother's CMX CERAMIC SPRAY COATING

From all the things I've seen you still need to activate it with water, that I'm trying to avoid

I have not seen that once. Where are you seeing this? It's marketed as spray and wipe.

Forrest is Mothers allowed to let us know the percentage of SiO2 and TiO2 within the product? Or is this proprietary information to Mothers?

I don’t know the answer, and I’m sure that info is proprietary.

Dang I was hoping to avoid buying costly IGL premier but everyone seems to love it. Is it better than overcoat and Viking coat spritz and VS1?

Do we have an updated timeframe for CMX release date?

Just make sure you apply premier at the proper temp or it doesn’t adhere

Fromwhat I read Mothers CMX is not a spray as you wipe dry product. It a spray finishing sealer . You use it on a dry paint, and then you do not use for a few months, maybe much longer. You clay and polish the paint and then apply CMX. If you need to use a spray , use Duraglass Fast Clean and Shine or one of Mothers sprays.

I did the preorder on this stuff......nothing like getting a newly released detailing product that you can’t wait to play with in February in the Northeast. I’m pumped to use it around May.

Not sure I’ve been doing some digging and coming up empty. Suppose I’ll have to call them and see

Better is subjective, I think Overcoat is a bit better, especially if you like slickness, but self cleaning might go to Premier. Premier is cheaper than Viking so it wins that battle. I haven’t tried VS1.

The thing about the toppers we are discussing is they beat other toppers (like Reload) by lasting about 12 times as long. We really need two topper categories like short term and long term. There is no need to apply a long term topper after every wash like you would apply a short term topper. Applying a long term topper after every wash would be like applying Can Coat after every wash, redundant and wasteful.

I have a client that applies enigma every month and no matter what you tell him he insists that it be done monthly

People have some strange ideas. I tend to overuse Premier too, but only on the front that takes a lot of bug hit abuse. If I had not tested out most of the toppers I would have assumed Premier was the same as Reload. Most manufacturers exaggerate the longetivity of their products or at least give you the best case scenario. Premier is on par with any sealant I have used. I have a difficult time believing how long it holds up to abuse and I have been checking it regularly. It’s got a “wow” factor.

I just applied premier to a clients Accord last night and they were very happy with the results that it gave.

I emailed Mother's about the availability of CMX in Ohio, and they just told me that they expect Pep Boys to have it in later February and the Internet retailers to have it available mid February

Triple action foam wash looks interesting, I'll give it a try when it comes out, along with CMX
