So I've searched and couldn't find a solution, and I am stumped on what other fittings/attachments I need to make this work.

Heres what I have:

This is the proper fitting I bought from AG for my pressure washer: Karcher X Series Pressure Washer Fitting

Any help?

Looks like you may have the wrong adapter, unless they changed the appearance. On second look, it looks like they may have combined the brass tube and adapter into one.

traditionally, you need this:

Represents cannon as you get it:

Take off the nipple and throw it in the garbage. You won't need it with a Karcher.

What you do need is a brass/metal tube and the correct adapter. It goes together like this:

Key in picture is pointing to brass tube - yours may look different. I got one at Home Depot in the plumbing section so so can use a wrench on it:

Now if the combined it into one unit, just take the nipple off the cannon and screw the plastic adapter into the cannon.

That brass piece with 2 different thread sizes on it is a thread adapter. Traditionally, you wouldn't use that with a Karcher either. But I have never seen a a Karcher plastic adapter with external threads like yours.

I saw a previous thread with some of the pictures you posted, but the issue is I don't think that adaptor will work with my Karcher model.

What does the inside of this connector look like? (Karcher K-Series Pressure Washer Fitting)

The one I bought (Karcher X Series Pressure Washer Fitting). The inside that connects to the pressure washer gun looks like this, with the yellow plastic on the inside.

This is connection on all of my attachments, which is why I bought the X-Series Fitting.

Where the attachment goes on the gun.

Scrace,

I own the K2.425 X series. To make it work with the AG Foam Cannon it required two connectors:

Karcher X Series Pressure Washer Fitting

Karcher HD/HDS Pressure Washer Fitting

I removed the silver piece in your picture and screwed in the HDS piece direct to the cannon. Then the X series connector goes into the HDS end. PM me if you want a picture or have any questions.

I am not sure if the fittings are the same for the MTM.

I think Wors got it right. I didn't realize the X (yours) and the K (mine) adapters were not the same. It looks like you need the other/2nd "adapter piece".Sorry for the misguidance.

Thanks for all the help guys, I went to home depot and found a couple different solutions.

I ended up buying a Reducer Kit (1/4 x 3/28) and a 3/8 Socket that attaches to the X-Series Fitting. I also bought a 3/8 Socket with a female quick disconnect but it did not work with the quick disconnect male end that came with the foam cannon. I'm going to go back to Home Depot and see if I can find the right fitting to make the quick disconnect work. I found all of the fittings in the power washer section, they had a larger than expected selection.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.

Just put together my K 5.740 machine and my foam cannon connection looks just like swanciyouth's setup. Going to give it a try today.

I have a Karcher k2.360, which I belive is a K Series.... I got a MTM Hydro Foamer, with a MTM brand- Karcher Bayonet fitting, however it doesn't fit tightly into the gun, and looks a little different then the want attachment that goes into my gun. The Wand fitting that goes into the gun actually looks more like a x-series fitting.

Do you guys think this will work, even tough you can twist the foamer in the gun a bit even when it is locked into place?

The whole K vs X series fittings confuse me, are they really different, and not compatible?

And why the heck to X Series power washers start with a K and a K Series starts with a K, and a K Series uses an X Series fitting?!?!? they shouldn't make it this hard!

The fitting says its for a K series, but looks more like the X series bayonet style that is used on my K series PW...

Folks

New here, Was thinking about this Setup

Amazon.com : Karcher X-Series featuring the Industry's First Water Cooled Induction Motor 2000PSI Electric Pressure Washer with 25-Foot Hose and Hose Reel, K5.540 : Power Washer : Patio, Lawn & Garden

Its $269 for the X Series K5.540

Also I wanted to get the Foam Gun Attachment that uses a 1/4inch quick release adapter so what conversion bit would I need? I have read lots of threads on here and as far as I can tell I would need this only

Karcher X Series Pressure Washer Fitting

Would that be all I need ?

Any other suggestions for a better pressure washer (Price really isn't an issue as long as its not more than $400).

I am curious about this too. I recently purchased the K5.740 X series, and need the fitting to connect the MTM cannon. Can anyone confirm what fitting is needed?
