It's funny how addicting it can be! Here is the first results of my new PC 7336 and the Menzerna Kit. Intensive Polish II, Final Polish, Finishing Glaze, Klasse and Klasse SG. Thanks to the entire Forum for all of the information and inspiration!

Here are a couple of less spectacular full shots. Thanks to all!

Sorry the other pics were so small, here are a couple bigger files.

Wow That's great but how did you get those tires hooked up to that mirror??

That's what I was thinking too! What a reflection!

WOW! Looking at reflections in those pictures is like looking at HDTV picture! :applause:

Great work! Isn't the tailgate just the most awesome thing to detail? A nice big black canvas for shooting pictures against, I LOVE IT!

I practiced on my wifes Silver Honda CR-V ( 1998 ). I could see the results, but they are not as spectacular (and obvious) as on a black finish. Next up is my black 2001 MB SLK. Paint is still in fantastic shape, with only some micro marring to be seen in the direct sun reflection, so I'll do a test spot first starting with the Final Polish II from Menzerna using a green pad made for German paint. Then the Finishing glaze with a black pad and I'll finish it off with the Klasse twins. I'm getting curious about Sourvan Carnauba Wax though, and now I'm reading about this product called 50/50 from Chemical Guys. They say it's a real show stopper on black cars.....can it go over Klasse though? I do like the longevity of the Klasse.

Man O Man I LURV to pull up behind a beautiful shiny truck like yours because I can see my beautiful shiny new car in your beautiful shiny paint! So not only are you making yourself happy in doing this, you're probably making a lot of people happy behind you, too. :D

Seriously, awesome job. :applause: From the buzz on the forum I never figured that you could get a flawless finish like that with Klasse SG as the LSP, but there you go. I really like my Klasse twins, and I'm very happy to see them look so good.

One question, though...why would you use AIO after the glaze? I thought AIO would remove other products (i.e., waxes, sealants, or glazes)...? Even though it doesn't look like you should change a thing, I was just wondering.

Thanks for the kind words....why the Finishing Glaze before the Klasse? I honestly don't know. When reading the Menzerna application guide, this is the order they reccomend, something about the finishing glaze acting like "make-up" for the paint....whatever works. The Klasse SG was difficult to get the hang of, but the trick for me was applying it with the PC and spreading it THIN....and having the patience to let it properly dry before the buff.

I agree with libtech. I've seen at least one other discussion where it was said that AIO will remove anything done prior, so it most likely removed your glaze. Your finished work is awesome, but I think the AIO was not needed in your steps since you did all that polishing.

It's my understanding that AIO works as a kind of cleaner for the paint and a prep for whatever else you want to put on the paint after it's perfectly clean: glazes, sealants, waxes. From the looks of things I doubt you took all the glaze off with the AIO...but jeez, I wonder what it would have looked like if you AIO'd it after polishing but before the glaze? Just dang... :D

Yet another shove down the path of buying a PC for me... :D :D

Yes you can top a sealant with a wax. You just can't top a wax with a sealant. :) Awesome reflections! :applause:

Souveran paste is amazing on black. I recently did a black VW Bug with the XMT carnauba finishing glaze and then Souveran paste and the depth is incredible. :)

AIO is a paint cleaner and will remove anything that is underneath it. I haven't used the Menzerna finishing glaze, but I'm assuming it's a finishing polish?? If so then the AIO after would be just right. :)

According to Menzerna, the Finishing glaze is to be applied AFTER the final polish, but BEFORE the Menzerna FMJ, which is also a sealent, similar to AIO or not? I assumed it was. After that, the Klasse SG was used. I was going to buy the FMJ from Menzerna, but since I had Klasse AIO remaining, I though it could be used as a substitiute. Penny wise pound foolish? Maybe so. Maybe I should have sprung for the Menzerna FMJ to keep it all in the family.

Klasse AIO is a paint cleaner that leaves behind some acrylic protection. Klasse sealant glaze is the true sealant of the twins.

Does that mean I could have (should have) used the Sealent Glaze in leiu of the AIO?

You can see what taking your time and learning has achieved....
EXCELLENT work!

Awesome reflection. Great job.

AIO will remove any wax, polish, anything (products before) ever acrylic. Never use Menzerna products, maybe Menzerna finish glaze is acrylic? Don't Know.
