first time trying to detail anything
I used meguiars products

started with hand wash with meg gold
then meg clay bar and detailer
the eg ultimate polish
finished with meg carnuba wax

will take that 2005 doge truck next

I had zero luck with that DA power system. Glad it worked for you though!

thanks, like i said I have never tried to detail anything before outside of maybe hand waxing a few times when i was a kid so this is to me at least better than hand lol
 
Looks beautiful now! Nice work. Wait til you try a proper machine buffer if that's in your plans. Although you got stellar results with the drill setup.

You pretty much don't hear of the power system anymore. I think it's a nice little attachment for cleaning/detailing glass. Definitely beats doing it by hand.
 
thanks guys. I'm going to do my 2005 dodge ram next. it will need a compound and has a lot of oxidation and swirls and small scratches. both of these sit outside all year round in new orleans. no garage unfortunately.

I have a bottle of Megs Carnauba in my garage, definitely going to try it out.

well guys I noticed some swirls still on the hood in the sun... sooo on impulse I picked this up... I used the peach colored pad it came with and meg ultimate polish then then griots one step the sealant it came with tomorrow i will use the meg carnuba ran out of day light
