I have been waiting all week for my Porter Cable 7424XP Pinnacle Twins Kit + Free Bonus and it finally came this evening at 7:30!

Im the MANI was so excited when it came that I ran outside to greet the UPS guy and as soon as i got inside a ripped open the box and took everything out. I was impressed with how high quality everything looked and felt.
The kit came with the following:

- Porter Cable 7424xp
- Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover 16 oz
- Advanced Finishing Polish 16 oz
- 5" Backing Plate
- 6.5" CSS Orange Light Cutting Pad ( Why do 6.5" get a bad rep? )
- 6.5" CSS Gray Finishing Pad
- 2 ( well built ) Cobra MF bonnets
- Mike Phillips DVD

The funny thing was i saw the same video in the DVD on youtube :P
These are some pics i took of my kit and i will be using them on the weekend.:dblthumb2:

Oh how I long for that kind of excitement!!! Congratz!! Gentlemans bet says that you can't wait until the weekend to polish something with it!! The refrigerator or perhaps Mom's dryer?

lol! I remember polishing the refrigerator and ruining both my wool pad and ht pads with single stage paint. :)

6.5" pads don't have bad rep, they aren't just preferred on DAs with the exception of flex and rotaries. Those Das just don't have the power to keep the pad rotating while pressure is applied. :)

:iagree:

The PCXP spins 5.5" pads much more efficiently than 6.5" pads.

Next time i order pads i'll get 5.5", i don't think i need that much room on the edge of the pad left over anyways

Thanks for the advice :xyxthumbs:

Very nice !!! Grats on your purchase !

As for the - Mike Phillips DVD ....I would of asked for an Autograph copy of it.. LoL !

Congrats man!

I also remember the first time I opened the box containing my PC, yeah!

Everybogy is right mentioning that the best way to work with the PC is to use smaller pads, the orange light cutting pads are a necessity.
I am eager to know how the Pinnacle polishes work, let us know.

Figures, I just bought more 6.5'' orange pads for my detail this weekend

I would use the 6" BP for those 6.5" pads.

Like others said, you get more correction power out of those 5.5" pads with the use of a PC. The new PCXP might be ok with the 6.5" pads though.

Nope, the xp still lags in power when using that big of a pad.

I've tried the 6.5 pads but ended up going back to the 5.5". Much better correction power.

Cheers! I ordered my GG kit with 5.5 pads and 5" backing plates with other goodies and I am really anticipating its arrival!
