My car made heads turn today because paint looked so freakin wet...

Perhaps one day I'll track them. For now I just love cruising around in both roadsters--a full view of the sky when the top is down...the sound of the exhaust note...and nimble handling that only a small sports car can give you.

Scion FR-S looks good and is a nice ride but the underpowered engine constantly reminds you that the chassis can handle a lot more power.

Miata is still king when it comes to fun, lightweight convertibles that are still affordable. They are the most tracked sports cars in the world I believe. Probably only the Lotus Elise can put a bigger smile on your face. But the Miata has practicality that the Lotus can only dream of. I use mine everyday as a daily driver because it's such a hoot to drive!

The Miata and the FR-S are literally neck and neck when it comes to performance and it all depends on the person driving as to which one is better or not. I prefer the RWD of the FR-S as it makes drifting it with it's skinny little tires a lot of fun at lower speeds than would be required with a bigger sports car.

The back end comes loose very easily in the FR-S which equals lots of fun on empty roads at lower sane speeds. Neither car was designed to be fast at all both were designed to be fun cars to drive with good handling.

The miata is a blast to drive, rwd, and offers a great view and feel.
I have never had as much fun in a car as autocrossing my miata.

Thanks to AG my car will look as nice as it drives come spring

No worries about the pics. I made a video with 1,000 pictures and I got complaints that it had too many pictures.

Ehh can't make everybody happy

Seriously though, one picture won't hurt. This is kinda fun :D

Miata's are a lot of fun to autocross and burn through tires with! I've never owned one but driven a few and they are fun. Of the few I have driven and the one FR-S I drove I found a bit more free play in the rear of the FR-S, but that could have been due to a number of factors.

All in all the cars are meant to have fun in and they both do that wonderfully.

Pics?????? I Have an M coupe is yours the z3 M roadster or another roadster??

I've never been so unsure whether to take something seriously or not! Am I the only one???

I made heads turn as well. I made a couple U-turns today & their heads were turning!

There needs to be a parody thread to compliment this one! I'd go for it but I'm sure it'll get me in trouble with the staff and it's just not how things are done here. Would be fun though! :-)

One full day later and still no pics???

Sorry OP had to get on this one :)

I'm sure you will be washing your car again in about a week. Make sure to take some pics as I am anxiously waiting to see some results. I have a light colored car and struggle to get the wet look. If I could see some pics i'd want to try the same combination you did.

On a side note, there was a recent thread about dusting with the optimum detailer. Have you experienced any dusting?

Dusting wouldn't be an issue. After "neck-breaking head turns" people would just be to dead to notice! :-)

Yes...the snow should clear in a few days then i should be able to do something.

I haven't noticed dusting but on dark colored vehicles (which shouldn't be an issue for you) there can be streaking if you use too much. I think it's due to the amount of gloss enhancers which probably explains why it makes the paint look so moisturized and hydrated.

For those of you that have used ONR Wash and Shine before probably remember that reflective sheen that it leaves on the finish.

Optimum Instant Detailer appears to give the same coating along with increased depth and jetting. Although I use Pinnacle I think you can use just about any good LSP (as long as it doesn't have cleaners that would remove the Optimum layer underneath) and the combination should give you similar results as mine.

Maybe this is the roadster that turned heads...
