Perhaps one day I'll track them. For now I just love cruising around in both roadsters--a full view of the sky when the top is down...the sound of the exhaust note...and nimble handling that only a small sports car can give you.
Scion FR-S looks good and is a nice ride but the underpowered engine constantly reminds you that the chassis can handle a lot more power.
Miata is still king when it comes to fun, lightweight convertibles that are still affordable. They are the most tracked sports cars in the world I believe. Probably only the Lotus Elise can put a bigger smile on your face. But the Miata has practicality that the Lotus can only dream of. I use mine everyday as a daily driver because it's such a hoot to drive!
The Miata and the FR-S are literally neck and neck when it comes to performance and it all depends on the person driving as to which one is better or not. I prefer the RWD of the FR-S as it makes drifting it with it's skinny little tires a lot of fun at lower speeds than would be required with a bigger sports car.
The back end comes loose very easily in the FR-S which equals lots of fun on empty roads at lower sane speeds. Neither car was designed to be fast at all both were designed to be fun cars to drive with good handling.
