I have had Z2 and ZFX for quite a while now and never used it.Since i am still trying to decide what lsp i should have on my car for Japfest i thought it was time i gave Zaino a go.
So yesterday after snowfoaming with As actimoose, which removed some grime, but it hadnt removed as much as i wanted so i foamed it again with BH autofoam which removed alot of the grime that was left behind after the AS.
The car was then washed in the usual 2bm using a sheepskin mitt with optimum car shampoo (another first for me, and found it really impressive :thumb::thumb:).It was then time for the claying stage, so CG purple was the order of the day with fk425 used for lubrication. The paint was then cleansed with ZAIO applied by DA on a white hexlogic pad.

Following some advice, i mixed up 1oz of Z2 in a mixing tube and put in 3 drops of ZFX.The zfx'd Z2 was applied with a sonus pad to the whole car and allowed to cure and then buffed off using a AB direct MF.This process was repeated a further two times giving me 3 coats in total..

Although, i will admit that it has left my car with a great finish, there just wasnt the "wow" factor that i was expecting,so i was a little dissapointed and was left wondering what all the fuss was about.

So have i been expecting too much ? or do you guys think that my car has the "bling" factor? The pics were taken a few hours after a Z8 wipedown
Any comments welcomed

White is a tough color if you're looking for that mind-blowing depth and wetness that darker colors can achieve. I will say that your car is looking good though.

I suggest investing in some PO85RD and black pads. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Looks real good. I don't think you can get much more on a light color paint. Next time jeweling like Irish said might help in the gloss. Remember it's all in the prep.

White is a hard color to show wetness and often responds best to a carnauba wax or topper. If using Zaino, I have found that Z5Pro and Z8 is the glossiest combo.

Thats the problem with championship white. My friend had a championship white DC2 and it always looked bland no matter what was done to it.

i understand you my friend . ihave the same problem . i have a white nissan qashqai. if you use the optimum optiseal you will see a difference .maybe 2 coats .there is a zaino product name zaino z-cs but its more expensive than optiseal and i think you get the same results

White and silver are my favorite colors by far!! Looks great, although, I'm not a huge fan of Zaino. Stains trim and isn't the easiest stuff to work with(after using pinnacle paste waxes and fuzion). VERY durable, though. Looks great!!!

I've never had Zaino stain trim.

If you expect miracles when you first apply Zaino, you are going to be disappointed if you are comparing it to good quality products found online. However the real miracle is how good your car will stay looking through rain showers, washes, etc. Z doesn't need boosters every time water hits it.

Weird, I've never had issues with Zaino staining trim, either. I believe Sal has gone so far as to say his products can be applied directly to trim without issue, almost as if he promotes you applying directly to your trim pieces.
