I'm so amped right now next week I get to do a 2005 Bentley Contental GT. Not sure on what it needs quite yet because the client is bringing it in for a quote on monday. But my question is for people who have done polish and correction work on bentleys. How is the paint hard or soft what should I be aware of etc ? It's my first time working on a exotic car. I will most likely be using megs d300 and microfiber pad or orange hybrid pad if correction work is needed. And will polish with 205 seal with megs 21 then a coat of megs 26 to finish. That's the current plan. I can't wait to do this car gonna be a fun detail.

I just worked on a White 2006 Bentley Continental GT LAST WEEK!! I wanted to post pics, however, since I am camera illiterate I put the camera setting at the highest level so the file is too big to post pics on AGO site!! If you PM me and give me your e-mail address I can show you the pics.

IMO Bentley Paint is soft (at least compared to MB and Ford, GM Paint). Very easy to correct and polish.

I am not familiar with all the Megs Product so I can tell you what I did:

I corrected the swirls with Menzerna FG400 w/a 6.5" LC Hybrid Orange Pad Speed setting 5. I did not have to do too many passes as the paint was very easy to correct.

I polished with a White 6.5" Lake Country Hybrid Pad Speed setting 5 with Polish Angel Final Polish (which is equivalent to Menzerna SF4500).

I used my Flex 3401.

I put on a sealant and then wax....The car came out beautiful!!! I was able to make reflection shots even with a white car.

If you want me to e-mail you pics I can or you can go to my FB page and see the Car either way...you will love the car as well as detailing this car.

I've done 3 Bentley paint corrections and each time the paint was not too hard and proved to be a breeze to correct. On my most recent job, I used the same combo of the Flex 3401 and Hybrid pads as Kamakaz1961 but with Optimum polishes. I'd say I got around 95% defect removal. They're very rewarding paints to correct.

Meg's #26, they still make that stuff?

Hopefully the #205 has enough cut to sort out the paint but if not head on out to your local auto parts store and pick up some Meg's Ultimate Compound if the #205 doesn't do it. Most people here use #105 and finish with #205 and onto your LSP.

Good luck with your detail and welcome to the forum, lots of info and great products here:xyxthumbs:

M26 is stil made lol. It's a great wax.

The op already has D300 which is slightly more aggressive than ultimate compound. It works great in foam as well as it's intended counterpart the microfiber cutting disc.

M205 is pretty versatile based on the pad used. I've used it with an orange LC flat pad and the new Meguiar's foam cutting disc. Worked great with both pads.

Looking forward to the pics. I'm a fan of the combo you're going with.

Awesome thanks for all the Info guys I'm thinking I'll stick to 205 then 21 n 26. Pads for correction either lc Orange cutting pad or megs polishing pad if it needs more cut then microfiber pad. Machine I'm using is a flex 3401.

Very cool! Keep us posted and post up your work/results/finished product!

Bentley, in my neck of the "woods" the priciest car I see is a Mercedes Benz, rarely I'll see a vet. One time there were rumors of a Lamborghini sighting passing through from FL anyway have fun and send pics.
