Back off Wytstang! Step away from the gun! Put it down and just walk away. Besides that looks like a Doe (?sp) you would want a big Buck!
Oh them people from South Carolina! :D

Wow Tonya, I can see that you are getting quite a workout trying to get rid of all those. They look awesome, but that had to make your arms quite tired.

Thanks for the pictures though, a little taste of home. What's the temperature been like there lately?

Today the high was about 76, and I washed and polished the chrome on my motorcycle for a few hours in preparation for a charity ride tomorrow. Later in the evening I drove my Chevelle up to a car show to check out the cars there and test out my new working speedometer ;) Now I get to track down a minor oil leak that my garage floor has warned me about. :(

It's almost reached 50 today, sunny and very little wind! A good day to work in the yard! Good luck with the leak!

Wow Tonya that's a lot of leaves. I heard sometimes there's snails in those piles of leaves...is that true? Must be nasty to jump in a pile of leaves and find a snail or twenty :p.

No... not really, unless the leaves are wet. Then you might get some of those slimy guys. They don't bother me. It's the snakes that freak me out! If I don't see them before they see me. But there are very few poisionous snakes in Ohio. So I try to stay calm :D With it this cold they are almost all tucked away somewhere staying warm. Perhaps the very bottom of the compost pile

 SNAKES aw man. I like snakes when they're behind glass in the zoo or in the pet store :p. I'd freak out if I saw a snake poking out of a pile of leaves.

Trees in front of my office.

Small (5') snake in my backyard.

Beautiful tree thanks for the pic. As for the snake... as long as I see them before I am right next to them... I am OK. But if I suddenly looked up and saw that guy... well I would do my best to slowly and calmly walk away. He looks like he might spring into action and try to have me for a snack  What kind is it?

Such beautiful trees! Our tress here have fall color for a day or two. It was a high of 82 today (11/13)! Whats up with that?!

Is that really a snake in that tree? I would soil my pants if I saw that thing.

"you've got to be kidding":D:D:D
I've never seen that many leaves.
Jimmie that is just the beginning. That might be 20 to 25% of the leaves. My work has just begun ;)

:iagree: like I said, as long as I see them before I am right up on them I am OK. But that guy would have freaked me out if I suddenly looked up an saw him hanging out over my head. I grew up out in the county. I use to have to pick them up and move them when I would mow the grass. I got to the piont I would not use a stick to move them. I would just grab them by the tail and fling them out of the way. The only thing you would have to worry about in Ohio is a rare rattle snake and a very rare water moccasin... those guys are mean!!!! Oh yeah... copper heads too! Good rule of thumb is to stay away from any water snake.
From the looks of that guy... I think I would leave him alone. :D

He's just a blacksnake, good guy. We do have lots of copperheads, though. I originally found the snake when I lifted the cover of the hottub and he was laying under it. That was kind of a surprise. He crawled out into the tree you see in the picture.

I HATE SNAKES!! Glad we don`t have any were I live :D

You have to be kidding me! You found him in you inside the hot tub or under the hot tub structure? Either way... I don't think I would be going in the hot tube first  I bet that was "kind of a surprise" !!!!
