My man cave makeover completed

The water distiller makes 8 gallons of pure water in 24hrs, I have a water line connected to it when the boiling tank gets low it auto fills it. I used to have a water deionzer BUT the resin replacement was too expensive so I went with the distiller system. The blue tank holds 14 gallons. I have a TDS meter (total dissolved solids) the tap water reads 385, the distiller reads 001!!! A total spotless system. I'm pretty sure you can find used distillers in your area, this one retailed for $800, I picked it up for $100!! I use this water for rinse only, thats where my H2O TO GO portable pressure washer comes in, absolutley no water spots, beleive me, my black jeep is always spot free even in the direct sun!!

Wow, great looking garage. Thanks for sharing, gives me some thoughts on what I want to do to mine!

Damn! I want a distiller! How does it work exactly? I am assuming it doesn't have a filter or what? Lol

Its simple, water boils in a boiler, steam is fed through a spiral tube, a fan cools the tube out comes droplets of distilled water. When my tank is full, I turn off the distiller and drain the boiling tank (has a valve for this), you have to drain the boil tank cause all the mineral deposits are in a concentrated form, if you don't it will build up in the tank and result in poor performance!

Wow.... great set up! I think I may have to look into the distiller + h20 to go setup! even if buying DI that seems like the best setup for rinsing spot free and nto worrying about letting the sun dry the car a little help from Mother nature is always appriciated!

Sweet set up. SO what is your H2O To Go portable set up exactly? Ive never heard of it. Do you have a link to where one could be bought or any more info on how it works?

Thanks for the feedback man!

Just do google search for NOMAD portable pressure washer, the one I have is the version that I beleive is discontinued. It is 12V that plugs into your cars outlet BUT I bought an A/C adaptor to plug into the wall outlet. Just a small tip buy a 12V 10AMP adaptor it draws alot of amps, 8amps minimum! The new version is an 18V system with a battery (like a cordless drill). I'm pretty sure you can get the one I have still if you search deep enough. They did retail for $189, got it on clearance for $39!!! So I bought 3 of them!!!

Wow thats pretty sweet....$39! How long have you had yours (plural lol). Does it seem to hold up really good.

From the vid...it looks like you just fill your tank up with your DI water from your tank and your good to rinse correct?

I gotta question...if you used water from a place like a 'water n' ice' that sells purified water...is that the same as distilled water?

Wanna sell one :-P...cool set up man.

As long as the TDS reading is below 005, then your good to go for rinsing. You can buy a TDS meter at walmart in the RV section!!

What store did you get your NOMAD from anyway? I just ebay'd them and the new ones are going for over $200.....NOT what i'm lookin for at the moment...$39 is just peachy with me thou if i can find it (or something close to it).

I got it at bargain outfitters BUT they are SOLD OUT! They were the only ones that would ship to Canada. OrangeOnions.com is sold out as well. Amazon did have them for $50 but now they want $210 (I think its the 18V version)

Rockbottomdeals.biz have them for $50!!! Email them if they have stock

I couldnt find that TDS water tester kit in walmart yesterday. Do you happen to know the company that made yours...or could you send me a link from walmart.com that leads to the on you got? Ive never seen/used one so i dont really know what i'm looking for...but the only thing the walmart i checked had was some toilet chemicals lol...NOT what i was looking for

hahaha, i had to post this description that RockBottom put on their site for the pressure washer:

Nomad H2O On The Go Portable Power Pressure Washer.
Clean anything, anywhere with the unbelievable Nomad H2O On-The-Go Power Washer.
Just plug into your car's 12-Volt or RV outlet and generate water pressure from an intense stream to a gentle mist.
This versatile machine is powerful enough to clean grills and cars, and yet gentle enough to clean your kids and pets.

"Come here little timmy its bath time!" lmao

Some days, that's the best option. However my kids are much older so I opt for a fire hydrant and hose. NOTHING like 200gallons/min of water to make them "clean" with respect.
