My Perfect Tire Cleaner

I am not educated quite enough in chemistry to agree with you, so I'll just take your word for it :props:

I just figured it's not worth my health to use this product. :)

Health comes first! I haven't had that problem yet, so maybe it's like allergies and affect everyone differently?

just yesterday you gave us the pad washer and now you gave us another great review, thanks Roshan!

by the way; I saw your girlfriend pass by 5:30, she should've said hi

but as far as D101v103, same as you, I always heard 103 was much better than D101 so I never gave 101 much though but now that you had such great success, I am going to pick up a gallon to be my dedicated tire cleaner, and then use the tuf shine cleaner after the 3rd application to get the tires squeaky clean,

on a side note, you recommended me to get the 32 oz sprayers, did you mean the 36? I couldn't find the 32, I wanted the exact same ones you used, and also, whats the difference between the "16oz" and "36" oz spray heads, I assume the neck should be universally the same size for the bottles? but the 3pack of the 36 is more expensive than the 16
thanks again for the review

$15.99 per gallon of Meguiar's D101 vs $29.95 per gallon of Adam's. And it works better on tires. Shocker!;)

She actually did say hi! I had to edit that out lol :D

Sorry I meant 36 oz bottles. The thing is, as I mentioned earlier, the foaming nozzles go through a lot of product. With 36 oz bottle and sprayer, you would have to refill less often. With the 16 oz bottle, I fill the first time and fill again (32 oz total), for dirty tires and wheels. With a 36 oz bottle, you wouldn't have to do that.

I'm not sure why it's more expensive though. :/

Great review as always but I laughed when you brought up Adam's as you mentioned something about that brand in the Zaino thread, LOL! I've only used Alien Kleen diluted 3:1 on tires so far, even w/o the GG foaming sprayer and its worked great. You mentioned the foaming sprayer and I couldn't agree more, when cleaning dirty tires its a MUST! I have Bleach White in a 35 oz GG bottle w/ their foaming sprayer and that really does the trick for me as well. Your vids are easy to understand as their real, no BS.

Ive been getting this stuff at 9.00 bucks a gallon and loving it, Us the APC + in the steam cleaner to keep the foam down

Roshan, wondering if you have ever tried Megs Super Degreaser for comparison? My go to tyre cleaner @ 4:1...

I did try D101 @ 4:1 but found it felt a bit "slimy" under the brush & I felt like the brush was just slipping on the surface of the tyre.

I think D101 is terrible on tires. I've tried it up to 3:1 and it just sits on top of the tire dressing and does not pull any dirt out. Tuf Shine is my favorite so far. I have a new bottle of OPC, but have not tried it yet. I use Zaino's tire dressing, so nothing silicone based and still had problems with it.

I like d101 on tires at 4:1. I don't like d103 at all on tires because it doesn't foam. Curious to what you mean by it "sitting on top of the tire"?

Another post above kind of describes what I mean. It doesn't seem to get in there and start turning brown like others I have tried. With a brush, it just moves around without really doing anything. Tuf Shine, Bleche White, and others start pulling out dirt and dressing before I even start brushing.

Exactly my thoughts. I felt like it wasn't penetrating the gunk at all & was just sitting on the surface.
As mentioned I felt like my brush was just sliding on a layer of APC, not actually reaching the surface of the tyre.
When I tried D108 it was worlds apart.
Tyre started turning brown before the brush even touched it & when I did brush it I felt like I was actually cleaning it.

Have heard people praise D101 before for cleaning tyres & thought I was the odd one out for not liking it.

I haven't tried D103 but it may be better than D101 due to the degreaser in it, although as KillaCam mentioned it doesn't foam...

That's kind of weird, but in the video, you can see as I'm talking the d101 is pulling lots of gunk out of a semi clean tire without me even getting to the brush.

Bleche black has the same chemicals in it that 101 has. If you use 101 at a 1:1 ratio or full strength it is just as strong, if not stronger. Bleche white has some IPA added to it.

Roshan do you like Mega APC better than LA Totally Awesome? I'm not sure if it foams, but I've had LAAPC straight pull out more grime than Adams straight.

I just bought this LA Awesome stuff for 80 cents. Its actually a pretty strong degreaser and APC. You can't beat it. I thought it was a joke until I started reading the dilutions on the bottle and tried it. You can use it for car washing at 1:50 -> but, I'm not likely to try that.

I haven't tried it on tires yet, but my guess would be it works well, better than most APCs, because its a degreaser.

I bought a gallon of the Tuff Shine tire cleaner, and I just use that. It works very well, but you do have to scrub it. APC just gave me so-so results on tires.

I scrubbed and scrubbed with APC. I thought the tires were clean. Them I use Tuff Shine tire cleaner, and got tons more brown. I like this product, because the tires have to be surgically clean for Tuff Shine to work, so I know it works well. Its not dilutable, so it ain't cheap at $40 a gallon.

Roshan, can u recommend a good solution for cleaning the rims?
Can i use the D101 to do it? I love Sonax wheel cleaner but here in Singapore they only it in 16.9oz bottle and it cost 24bucks! We can't get those in gallon bottle. So i'm thinking of shipping something cheap n good here.

I noticed you didn't use this product on your wheels, is there a reason for that and do you have another product on your wheels? Also, it looks like your wheels are clear coated?
My wheels are painted black, kind of shiny but kind of matte too, stock Super Bee wheels, what do you recommend on those?
