Haven't been on this board in while due to the cold weather of Chicago (no cars to detail). Anyways, right before we got hit with the freezing cold and heavy snow, my garage went through a major interior renovation.

This is what the garage use to look like.

Most of you are probably wondering why I didn't use insulation. For one, I don't use the garage in the winter time and the ceiling is gonna be left exposed so even if I did, the heat would escape through the top.

Anyways, here are some pics of the garage afterwards. It's not completely done yet, but I will finish the rest when it gets warm again.

I can't wait to start detailing cars in this garage now.

Floors were purchased from costco. They are called Motofloors and is produced at the same factory as the Racedeck floors.

Dang, you did pimp it out bro, I checked into some flooring similar to that......looks great......I am sure as time goes on you will really get it looking sharper........I love my garage........I even have a lazy boy in it and a TV ....lol Dig that Z too !!

No lazy boy here but I plan to get a flat screen tv and wall mount it.

how's the Motofloors holding up? I'm not sure which direction to take yet, something like Motofloor or epoxy.

Howard

That is very nice. I wish I could do that to mine. I want running water and drains. With AC and heat. But I'd settle with that for starters.

OMG, VERY NICE!!! Well done!

+1....wish we were neighbors lol

Any electricians in the group? In my garage makeover, I want to convert a single regular light bulb fixture into a series of 8' fluorescent fixtures. How many 8' fluorescent fixtures can you connect to a single light bulb fixture before it becomes a hazard?

Lookin good! I can't wait to start my garage make over. One thing I want to do is mount 4' fluorescent lights on the small full action flat screen mounts from wallmart
