Thanks, Alton. I absolutely love this forum. I've learned so much and have made so many friends! :dblthumb2:

AG doesn't sell them, but they sell other Poorboy's products. Many have used the DMT's on this forum, so I wanted to share my thoughts.

Shoot, that's why. I've never checked out the PBs website because they only take paypal. I'd really like to try the DMTs though...

oh dear, that's bad news. I have a bunch of them on the way. Based on them being so recommended by some leading members here. But that's ok, I still want them.

Anyway, the blue rolled edge ones, that means I should up my order quantity to two 6-packs. :)

I still feel linting has more variables then just the towel type or brand ??? It would be interesting to find several facts as to what makes towels lint over time.

Good question.

I only wash my MF with MF detergent. I only air dry them. They're definitely taken care of properly. So????

Try throwing them in the dryer on either low heat or air-dry. The filters in dryers should pick-up any stray fibers.

I really dont know for a fact either, it "seems" like as the fibers break down or break in some lint and others dont. I can understand linting on first use, before washing, as could be the cutting and such just like new towels and loose material twines.

It would be interesting to find the real culprit and if any way to reduce or alleviate. I doubt its specific to a type of wash although some soaps are perhaps stronger and could break down the fibers quicker ?? I dunno either.

I've had my DMT's a year now with no linting.

I'm reluctant to try the the rolled edge Cobra towels because ALL of my Cobra MF's only last a few washes before either falling apart, linting, or matting and becoming very rough feeling.

Anyone tried washing in woolite? It's used on very delicate fabrics. May work, may not.

Hmmm, my buddy Heath (expert on every brand of mf towel I have ever heard of) sent me a couple of these recently. I haven't used them long enough to know about linting but they are very high quality ime. Heath has had them for a good while I believe and he holds them in high regard.

I found the best stuff to be "ALL free and clear" works really well leaves no scent and is mild

Hey Scott,

I have a few towels that never stopped linting even with hand washing, machine washing, hang drying and machine drying at lower temps. Some are 2+ year old Cobras and some are other brands. I normally wash my towels before using them for the first time too.

Some are super plush like a few of my Cobras (600 Jr) and some are thinner. It doesn't really make sense. The fibers left behind on the paint are normally fairly short but seem to be reasonably consistent in length. Some fibers seem to get transferred to other towels, which will eventually be removed with washes. I see the fibers show up most often with LSPs.

I've used various detergents including All Free and Clear, both Pinnacle and MicroRestore MF detergents and a Kirkland Free and Clear product. I might have even used Woolight once or twice. It doesn't seem to be related to the wash step. I will sometimes use a vinegar rinse to remove residues left on the towels. That doesn't stop the linting either.

And thats the challenge to it .. something must be the culprit but what ??? I do notice more linting complaints on the thickest and plushest offerings. Do you wash all towels together or seperate ?? My thoughts concern cross contamination.

I even noted it on a towel called Sasquash from another vendor. Its why the Shamrocks were discontinued even though quite popular. We need to hire a MF detective Im the MAN

Some interesting theory going on there Scott.

I have one brand of towels that have never linted on me and other brands that have so I'm not convinced but you do have me thinking. I think there is something to what your saying in a lot of cases but the make of the towel must also play a vital role.
