My solution to $150 foam guns...

anyone have any pictures of their quick disconnect set up? I've been looking around online (and youtube) and can not find any.

thanks

glad i found this thread, HD has it for $9.97 now, just picked one up since they price match their internet prices.

plus i picked up the wand attachment for $15 too, on clearance.

What zip code are you using online to find that $9.97 price? I've only been able to find it for $18 online.

Dave, here is a picture of what the quick connect fittings look like.

i am buying this thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Im the MAN
I tested out my new H.D. rig last night and it worked great.
I used 4oz. of Meg's Gold Class topped off with Hot water in the GClean Foam Blaster.
It made plenty of foam. :detailer:

As I was expecting, using a Pressure Washer with the CR Spotless will definitely save me lots on resins.

For dedicated amateur car wash use, I would not want a unit with any more power than 1800psi as it would be too easy to damage the paint.
Even still, I put the 15 deg nozzle in a safe place so I couldn't accidentally use it.

Not sure how much my neighbors liked my washing my car at 1:00am, but I had a Service Appointment this morning for it and I know better than to bring a dirty car to a dealership.
(I also plastered the car with big "DO NOT WASH" signs readable inside and out)

you can find a foam cannon (yes they are over-priced) for certainly more than half off what everyone else is selling them for and a little more than the one available at HD. PM if you like more details...

anything zip in columbus, ohio - but it looks like the price changed. i did look up the price on my android phone with HD's site and showed it to the cashier for the price match.

make sure you add it to your cart for the lower price.

Yep, same for me. $9.97 here in Dayton. Going to pick mine up tomorrow.

What's the wand attachment that you speak of?

it's the extension with 4 different adaptors for electric PW and the other end is a 1/4" QD, gives you many more attachment options like gas ones have.

Ahh, I'm running a Karcher Gas, I got you now :dblthumb2:

How much soap are you guys using while washing with the G Foam blaster? I ended up picking one up from Home Depot along with an adapter so I could use it with my Greenworks 1500 psi washer (uses the Karcher fittings). I found that I went through the entire bottle of soap in only half the car though? I had the nozzle on the G Foam wide open though. I was using a 70/30 mix of car soap and water.

can't wait for spring to arrive so I can use my foamer again:)

Thanks to the OP for this thread and everyone's input. I just picked up the G Foam Blaster from HD. I was able to convince them to price match their online store. I shouldn't have had to convince them as you can do a pick-up in store online. Makes no sense that she had to go ask the manager.

Now...to pick up a nice foam wash. Any suggestions? I was looking at CG's Honeydew Snow Foam, but am alittle cautious because on their youtube video there was a question asked about the dilution ratio because it seemd thin. Their response was "half an ounce because the car was waxed a week prior." I don't want anything that will strip off an LSP.

Any suggestions?!

Picked one up Friday, hope to try it out soon. I have the Greenworks 1700psi pressure washer from Lowe's and this fit right on the end of my wand, no adapter needed so far.

Nice!!! You got yours for $9.99 right?

Yeah I bought some quick disconnect adapters but ended up taking them back because I didn't need them. I didn't realize I had the quick disconnect on the end of my wand. I don't remove the spray nozzle so I forgot LOL! I fits like a charm. Only thing that sucks is I have to wait until warmer weather to get out there and use it!

What shampoo are you going to use?

$9.99, are you serious? It was $19.99 at the store. I didn't even think to check their website. The first soap I'm running through will be CG Maxi-Suds II and after that CG Extreme Body Wash & Wax (love this stuff!).

*Edit - just looked online and it's the same price I paid in store.

TAKE IT BACK!!!! I'm serious dude. It will change once you proceed to check out. Try it. Then what you do is buy it online but then pick it up in store. Or just buy it online, pick it up in the store, and then return the other one.
