What soap did you use and what ratio of soap/water? I haven't had much luck getting great foam. Better than a gilmour, but still not great.

Try it with 2 ounces of soap added to hot water. Stirr it up. I think filling it with soap then water possibly creates too much air in the canister. I'm giving mine another shot this weekend. I got some DP Extreme Foam on the way.

Well, used the CG Maxi-suds at a few different ratios and still not where it should be in terms of foam and how long it clings to the paint surface. Not too impressed with the G-foam gun, so I ordered an MTM Hydro foam lance off of ebay. Should be here tomorrow, so I'll see if that gets me what I'm after.

I used about 2 oz and the rest with water. Of course i had it on full foam. But i didnt get much foam without it on full. I was also using chemical bros maxi suds II

I got some DP Extremem Foam and for some reason it didn't perform as well as the Meg's GC. It's decent...not the best. I think I will keep this one for when I do a presoak with customer cars with a shampoo and OPC mix. I will be getting the MTM Hydro, specifically for my car.

I have been in contact with the company that makes the G Foam blaster to try to get them to mold a larger canister. I think I got them pretty excited about the idea. We'll see.

Thinking about getting a Karcher electric PW and this foam gun. It doesn't look like Home Depot sells that wand adapter kit anymore. What else can I use to hook this up to a Karcher?

For anybody looking for a moderately priced foam gun, but not satisfied with the G-foam, definitely check out the MTM Hydro gun. I picked one up and used it for the first time last night w/CG Maxi-suds and I am very happy with the results. It produced a rich, thick layer of foam that really stuck to the paint. The G-Foam is going back to Home Depot this weekend.

I got the Karcher adapter here at AG.

Wolfgang Foam Cannon HP, foam lance, car wash foamer, pressure washer foam gun

towards the bottom of the page, they sell the PW specific adapter, that converts it to 1/4" thread.

Mine was a Karcher K-Series
Karcher K-Series Pressure Washer Fitting

Dad's older unit is a Karcher HD/HDS
Karcher HD/HDS Pressure Washer Fitting

Once you get it converted to the 1/4" thread, you can install a 1/4" quick disconnect, if that is what you need to use. HD sells these.
- not too sure which foam gun you are talking about, there are 3 in this thread, don't want to assume it is the item from the start of the thread.

I converted my K series adapter to a 1/4" PW quick disconnect and installed the other side to the foam cannon and I have the 4 piece tip set from HD ( ~30.00 for 4 tips fo different angles ).

I think Dave has a thread on converting / adapting his Karcher to a short lance. This is what made me do it, works out nice.

Side note : not too sure what the lance to PW unit connections are on your unit, I had the old M22 fittings ( non swivel ). I installed some 3/8" quick disconnects on the hose ( and hose extension ) and now the hose swivels for me. The newer units ( higher end ? ) have the Karcher type quick disconnects already on them, so it might be a non issue for you.

I can't get the foam as in the video from DP, MegsGC, or Griots from the G-Foam.

Using a Karcher 2000psi. Tried stirring shaking, stirring, hot water, reducing the pressure, etc.

At this point if the AG product or the MHydro works without jumping thru hoops, I'm willing to pay up the $ for the results. Although I don't see where there would be any technical differences between these products (the guns), if I could get feedback that one does work that actually 'snows' the car, I'll buy it.

All I've been able to get is a soapy stream that runs off the car. I get much more dwell time if I use a bucket and mitt.

The only way I know to get it in a somewhat thick foam is to open the valve all the way up. But this, in return, uses alot of product FAST! For some it maybe be sufficient, but I'm gonna go ahead and get the MTM hydro lance. I am still waiting on the company that makes the G Foam blaster to get back to me about the larger canister. I mean I'll keep the G Foam and still use it for other people's cars when I'm doing a presoak with an APC...I would still like a larger canister. Last I heard from them was they sent it to the R&D folks to see about molding a larger canister. I told them I'd be more than happy to test it out :props:

I got a gun off Google and its nice...used it 2 times lol. The on ly way I got lots a foam was to use lots a soap which in turned took my wg3.0 right off.
