Nastiest interior ever!!! But, did I get it clean?

I have a client that calls me twice a year, and the vehicle looks like that. Do an educated guess, it'll look like that again.

When I read the title my mind instantly went back a few years to a Chevy Malibu that I did. Man you did a knockout job on that interior.:urtheman:

Someone else said nice save. +100

I probably shouldn't give my wife a hard time after seeing your pics. I complain about a little splashed coffee and a bunch of beach sand.

I would have loved coffee and beach sand! lol

Nice save.

After seeing that i'm going to have to apologize to my daughter about giving her crap about her car!

good work-what kind of degreaser did u use and what did u use with the tornao

I used a plastic/leather cleaner that I get from Malco. I usually dilute it down...cause it tends to be a bit heavy for leather. But when it came to that thing...I had to hit it hard.

I kind of have my own little creation that I use for the Tornador. In this case...I emptied out my usual mixture, and went with an APC diluted down a bit with water. My main concern was just getting everything clean...not so much concerned with dressing on this one.

But usually, I do a mixture of this stuff I get from DetailKing.com called Magic Cleaner, I put about two cap fulls...then fill the rest up with already mixed water based dressing. I find it makes the perfect mixture of cleaning, and light dressing at the same time. I don't care for heavy dressing on vinyl.

So, 90% of the time...I can clean up the grimy, dirty spots of the vinyl with magic sponges and APC. Then...I blast out everything with the Tornador. Works great!:xyxthumbs:

Great turn around. I have attacked similar soda spills. I now just grab the steamer and shop vac... a straight blast of steam directed towards the shop vac nozzle reduced down to a bout a 1/4 inch sucking spout... it melts it all down and sucks it all up at the same time and i move over all cracks this way.. First steam and wipe/scrub larger surfaces so you dont get run off into your freshly cleaned cracks :)

Again great turn around! I use detail king tire/whitewall cleaner and love it for it's darkening agent just wish the shipping wasn't so bad!

How do you like the tornador? I thought about buying one awhile back but went with a steamer

That actually made me feel a little ill! Great save. Hope you were paid VERY well for cleaning that biohazard they call a car.

Thank you! I personally can't live without the Tornador now. At first it felt like just an extra step to me. But then when I learned how to create a process with it...it makes things so much easier and WAY faster.

I find that as long as I go around and hit all the tough trouble spots with magic sponges and APC...the Tornador flies through all the vinyl quickly. I tend to use it more for a dressing tool, more so than for cleaning. It's great for all the cracks, vents, and nooks. The tracks under the seats, between the weatherstripping, etc. All the stuff that's a pain in the ass to get by hand pretty much.

So yeah, I love it. I would absolutely recommend it to any detailer. Just make sure you give it a solid chance...you HAVE to use it a bunch of times. I have all my interior guys obsessed with it. They wont start vinyl now until the other guy is done with it. I have to buy another one now, haha.

That thing was nasty! Great work! It's amazing how some people can let their cars get so dirty. I can understand maybe some dust from not wiping the dash down and stuff. But if a soda was to explode or a coffee to spill I would think that you'd want to clean that up as soon as possible. Some people are just gross.

The Tornador is Awesome!!!!! But like Kristopher said give it time, there is a learning curve. I would absolutely recommend it to any detailer too. :buffing:

You did a great job. The best cleaner for soda stains and anything sugary is hot water. That was the only thing that would clean soda stains out of soda machines and other soda equipment.

awesome restoration.......that is what you did and hopefully got paid well to do

you just have to wonder about what people's houses look like if their cars look so crappy

I commend you on a fantastic job....... :urtheman:
