Need advice on a new polisher

true, while a lifetime warranty is only as good as the business is around, Griots has been around for a long time (20+ years?) and i don't see them going anywhere anytime soon...

Look, I wish Griots well and hope that he can hand the business down to his Grandchildren's Grandchildren. But the fact of the matter is that small business's have a high failure rate. Have you ever heard of Woolworths, Gimbils, Saks 34th street? Look at the turn over of stores at your local mall. I think that you need to study economics.

I did not say that his warranty was no good, I just said that I do not believe in life time warranties. but I would take one for free.

In any event I forgive for the insult

if you were to have the Griots DA (btw, many on here chose it not just for the warranty including myself) for let's say 5 years worry free under replacement before they went under (hopefully that won't ever happen), then it would be worth the price over some of the other DA's that only have a year or two and that's not to say that the other DAs wouldn't experience problems at anytime as well. but yeah, lifetime warranties with anything could go at anytime, but if i get my money out of the product it in a reasonable amount of time, i can live with that. btw, i have a G100 with a lifetime warranty as well ;) ...

I agree. If you like the product and trust the seller or manufacturer buy it. I have purchased many items with only a 60 day warranty or less because I justed the product. On a hundred twenty five dollar product why worry about a life time. A few years of reliable service is more than enough. But to buy something based a 100 year warrant is ?????????

Well, Just ordered my polisher/car kit (Griot's) with about 10-12 other items that I will need to get started!!! I ordered it on-line but noticed that the standard ground shipping was $0.00. According to the shipping chart, this should have been around $28.00. So I called and talked to a rep at Autogeek's and found out that there is a special going on until around 10:00PM today (2/21/11) for "free shipping"!!!! This along with my first order code (-10%), really made a difference in the cost (saved about $39.00). Many thanks to Autogeek's!!!!!! :dblthumb2:
