So I did a detail today where i removed some pretty bad water spots. The customer has no choice but to park his car next to the sprinkler that caused the water spots in the first place. Hes moving in the next 2 weeks so he wants to know how to maintain the finish until then to prevent the water spots. I applied 2 coats of 845 to protect it but this water is so hard I dont think it will matter if its sprayed by the sprinklers every day and then spend the rest of the day under the Nevada sun.

My question is this. What would be better for him to use to spray the car down with and wipe after the sprinklers? Quick detailer or a spray wax? Hes not the most detailed inclined person so I think the QD will be a little more user friendly but i feel if he uses it every day it might remove the 845. What do you guys think?

I think your 845 will survive a few QD wipedowns without issue, as long as he uses a some decent towels and doesn't get too aggressive in the rubbing. Given the choice, I'd equip him with some of your favorite waterless wash, such as Ultima or Meg's D115, since IMO there's a bit more margin for error with a WW product than a QD. If he's not well versed on technique, I would also include some sound instruction, which is probably more important than product choice.

Glue the sprinkler head down so it won't pop up anymore! Lol!

Why not change or realign the sprinkler head. You can buy a 1/2 versus 360 head for like 3.00. Others can be aligned by twisting them.

Well he lives in an association and i dont think it would even matter. They turned on while i was there and they were pointed away from the car but it still got it wet.
