Hello, I'm posting this in the off topic section because I don't think it fits in any of the autogeek forum sections.
I have a coworker/friend who was a victim of a deliberate keying to their driver side door. Silver BMW X5 that is leased. I've done some basic paint correction with a orbital and M105/M205 type stuff and have had great success. However I've never had to fix something as bad as having your door keyed. And I don't feel comfortable doing what I feel needs to be done on someone else's car.
It is keyed deep in about a 5-6" section between the driver/passenger door and then much lighter (doesn't look like it is through clearcoat) for another 2'. I didn't have much time at work but passed over it with an orange pad on a GG 6" and some M105 that helped a bit on the lesser areas, but it clearly needs something stronger.
So I'm looking to recommend her to someone with more experience with this. I suspect it will need some touch up paint, maybe some wet sanding, and polishing.
I was surprised to find autogeek doesn't make a regional forum for people to seek out other experienced detailers. So I'm asking here. Looking for a good place to handle this reasonably for her in the PA/DE/NJ (Tri-State Area).
Thanks!
