what are you giving up on,were you trying to do something?
Yes, I was trying to help you, just like many try and then you make them feel like a fools for doing so, whether it is this, or that engine wash thread ("I don't say you guys don't know but I did not hear it on the forums so it's possible you don't know"), or something else (aren't you the same guy that was driving Mike Phillips on MO up the wall? based on nickname, cars you "detail", and age group I am thinking you are).
Let me try to point out few things to you before I call it a night.

on setting 5 its going to to spin just as fast as the pc.

both the pc and the festool orbit at around 5000 opm on speed 5 so i dont see his point.
Just because they have same OPMs that doesn't mean they both work that polish equally hard. Even if we assume same throw and orbit pattern 4amp tool will be working "weaker" than 6amp tool. Everyone knows PC is easy to bog down at speed 5. You can grab it and stop it by hand. You already know you can not bog down Festool at 5. I do not advise you to try stopping it by hand.
So, that ends that discussion with strong suggestion that just because you can not see something first ask yourself is that because you do not have enough knowledge or experience on the subject before dismissing it.

i dont see why it would dry faster with the festool.
It does not matter whether you, or anyone else for that matter, can see it why or not. What matters is answer to question does it dry faster with Festool than with PC or not. That is all that matters. Take a PC (not UDM) with 6" backing plate and 6.5" pad and take Festool with identical pad, use equal amount of polish on speed 5 and use them both within 15 minutes of each other in equal manner (arm speed, pressure, etc) and if dries faster with Festool then it dries faster with Festool. It could be due to higher local heat, it could be due to whatever, what matters most is does it try faster and if yes take that into account until you can find out why. In the meantime end of story.
In the end I understand you are just a kid and we should all maybe cut you some slack. However, man, with an attitude like that it is really hard to do so. I too am just learning but boy do I hope when I ask my questions around that I am not coming across to people that are patient to teach me errors of my ways like you are. Otherwise I owe them huge apology.
