What is that match going to be when the new paint fades?
The old paint is unlikely to continue to fade at the same rate as the new paint and in a few years, maybe less, the match will no longer be there.
A lot depends on how long you keep the vehicle. It might not even be noticeable while you still own the car.
I had to have the nose repainted on a 20+ year old red vehicle and they did a perfect match. Today, a few years later, it doesn't. I doubt that many people notice, but I do.
Hopefully, the white may show up a little less than the red.
Unfortunately, I think it is something you have very little control over. Regular waxing probably helps, but it doesn't totally keep it from happening. At least, it didn't for me.
