I've had my Griot's DA polisher for a few years now, and used it probably 2 dozen times. The pads are starting to show a bit of age (very tiny tears in a few spots, noticeable enough for me to think about getting some new ones).

I'd like to get a range of pads that will accommodate mild to moderate polishing, glaze/sealant and wax applications. I will be working mostly on my own cars and those of family members, so after the first rounds of polish I imagine I'll mostly be applying sealants and waxes as upkeep.

I'm getting low on my Griot's polish and wax and know that I want to try something new. The Griot's stuff is just too hard to work with & remove for my taste. And I wasn't too thrilled with the results. I was on a Zaino kick for a while, but need to do some minor paint correction (swirls from improper washes - I'm ordering grit guards and starting the two bucket method too) so Zaino won't cut it (pun unintended).

I was thinking about CG, but then I start reading threads about Wolfgang, and I'm still up in arms. Anyhow, can anyone at least help me settle on some replacement pads so I'll be ready to go once I choose my new chemicals?

Get a pack of 6 Lake Country Flats. Seems like white pads are all you need, but you can never have enough orange.

Optimum Hyper Polish for your light swirls. It is so easy to work with, virtually no dusting, and water based so no filling either. Wipe off is a little smeary but a few extra swipes and you're good.

I like the LC smart pads. Orange for light cut, white for polish, blue for sealant, and red for wax.

I've been real happy with the Blackfire line. For correction I use Megs 105, 205, or UC. So I usually go this route:

Orange: Megs 105/205/UC
White: Blackfire Total Polish & Seal or BF Gloss Enhancing Polish
Blue: BF Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection

I'll use the red when I winter seal with Collinite 845.

Thanks, folks!
Lake Country pads it is. I might grab the kit that includes 2 whites, a blue and a black along with cleaner and conditioner for $60. That seems like a slick deal.

Now back to my quest to find my next polish/sealant/wax combo. Thanks again!
