I am about to do a full detail on my vehicle and need some more guidance on products and equipment. I hope this is the right section for this. My detail world revolved around walmart and auto store products, so this new big detail world I came upon is a bit overwhelming. I have done some research, but still have questions since there are so many new products to me.
I have a 2014 durango that is a daily but garaged the majority of the time. The paint is still in good condition except for the light factory orange peel(ugh). My concern is protection first with some good shine to it. I have purchased some items here through the holiday sales.
I picked up a nanoskin clay mitt to replace my traditional clay bar, with nanoskin autobath.
Wolfgang uber ceramic coating with pinnacle advance finishing polish.
Pinnacle black label synergy wax, just could not resist the deal. lol
Iron x, this is a new product I have just recently read about, is it needed? Does it really do what the description says?
I need help picking out a swirl/ scratch remover, I know I will need one eventually. Just need one for light to moderate. My vehicle is very very light at the moment but my parents car need a little bit more help, so looking for one product that can do both.
I also need help deciding on a polisher for a beginner that will grow with with me through experince for personal vehicles only. I have always done everything by hand. seems the most user friendly machines are PC 7424 and GG6. Can not decide betwwen the griots 6 and 3 inch combo or the porter cable 7424 with different backing plates. Any advice on this will be helpful
Thanks for any help and if there are any suggestions you can make, please feel free to share if I left anything out.
