Hey guys i need some help correcting 2007 Silver Civic..car is in decent condition.. this morning i washed, clayed and ironx the whole car..next step was to correct the paint remove swirl marks..First i tried Chemical guys VSS and Meguiars DA Foam Discs 5 in(Cutting pad) on griots DA on speed 5 slow movement and 6 to 7 passes..didnt do much removed minor swirls..only reason i chose VSS again because i corrected my 2012 CRV month ago and i was able to remove all the swirls..Next i tried Ultimate compound using different cutting pad same slow movement and 6 to 7 passes..still was not able to remove all the swirls..i polished the car using yellow polish foam disc and Sonax Perfect Finish 4/6
still didnt make much of the difference..for now i applied collinite 915 on whole car since its going to rain here tomorrow..so i would like to know is there any other compound/polish combo i should try..i m sure Meguiars DA Foam Disc is capable of correcting paint since they are marketing as cutting discs..i also have some Lake country flat pads but mostly polishing ones not the cutting one..
