Neighbor Hosed Down My SUV...WTH?

So what happens if your car gets rained on? Do you freak out?

I have a neighbor that every Tuesday night and Wednesday morning his sprinkler goes off. It sprays my driveway. I told him and he said get a bucket and wash it. I figured instead of fighting with him. (He is a snowbird only here about 3 weeks out of 52) I just move it every Tuesday night to the other side.

Damn snowbirds!

All water is not equal whether it be well, city or rain water. Rain doesn't spot near as bad as my well water does. If I leave my well water on without drying... it's going to have to see some polish or cleaner.

What about dat acid rain for the city dwellers

being new to this detailing stuff I'm definitely thinking........ so your hood got wet. what happens when it rains?

go beat her with the hose she used. Just like a dog, she will learn. lol, jk (don't beat your neighbor)

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone here. If it rains sometime during the week, I wash the following weekend. Rain is rain, not much you can do about it. The weather doesn't dictate when I wash unless it is raining or is forecast for the day I intend to wash.

There is dirt on my car more like dust but, ehh who cares. This is an online forum complain and punch, kick and go key all the cars you want but only if it's on your keyboard not in real life.

I just got finished buffing my floor, the polish was easy to remove but not the wood stain. So on to another adventure. View attachment 17450View attachment 17451

Still not satisfied. I have determined that I am just a buffer, having buffed cars, marble floor and now concrete

This situation is all about the principal, not about rain getting on the hood, this was probably done on purpose and more than likely its one of those "its only water, what's it going to hurt" kinda people.

Exactly.

I knew I wasn't alone. Yes, I love my TBSSs dearly.

Yes, we are looking to move this year. We're finally putting one of our investment properties up for sale and once it moves, we will be able to take the next step. Neither of my TBSSs has ever seen rain. We have a pretty short rainy season here and they spend the majority of their time in the garage anyway. My wife is starting to win me over on seeing them as pointless to have....but for the time...I still love them.

HAHAHA, when I was younger, I would wax my ATV. In hindsight, I probably did more damage to the plastics than good.

That's the thing....there isn't anything remotely close or even in the direction of where my SUV was parked in the driveway. That's why this is so baffling. It wasn't an errant overspray, there had to be a reason.

And I still wax my lawn tractor! After all.... it's a Deere.

And you're right, it WASN'T an errant overspray.

Get your hose and some weedkiller.... no.... make it VEGETATION killer... and NO... not your hose, your pump sprayer. Mix some good old fashion rock salt with it all and grab a bag of rock salt while you're at it. Then perhaps you can make it up as you go from there. ;) Never know when you'll have a stiff wind, errant spray and all. (Funny what that stuff does to plants, flowers, GRASS!

That's the problem with people these days... no freaking principles!
