So like most who have been in the game for a while I really started to get frustrated with doing rocker and lower panels on low to the ground vehicles as well as using 4 jack stands and jack to do wheels off treatments.

I had been eyeballing a quickjack for a while now and after a bunch of reading and video watching I pulled the trigger on the 7000slx model. This is rated for 7000lbs and will fit most cars no problem. With the soon to be released extensions I will be able to lift bigger vehicles as well. For 1500$ I think it's priced right.

Upon initial delivery I wasn't to thrilled about the box it was packed in. It showed up all ripped and torn. But I will say the unit was undamaged.

All the hoses and pump, fittings etc were in a separate box packaged very well.

Once all unpacked I took a look at everything. The fittings, hoses and units all seem well done. The package with the fittings even includes Teflon tape so the only thing you need to supply is 2.5qts of ATF fluid for the pump and some basic hand tools for assembly. The included manual is very well illustrated and easy to understand.

Within a couple hours I was up and using the lift.

This is locked in the first position

This is the highest setting.

So far so good. Looking forward to putting it to use. All I know is that my rockers need some polishing now! Haha.

Congrats, I want one of these for personal use. I've been eyeing the 5000 model.

Yeah you can't go wrong with that. Only reason I went with the 7000 is to make sure I'm covered with most of tge the vehicles i work on.

Very cool, congrats on the new lift.

Bringing your detailing to a whole new level:)

Very nice. Let us know what you think after you have had it for awhile.

1) Where did you purchase it from- Cause you have seemed to get it for way less than most advertised on the web

2) Where / how do you store it when not in use?

Directly from quick jack. 1490$ with free shipping.

Not sure about storing it yet. I may just push them together under the center of the car. But will figure it out later today.

Congrats on the new purchase Justin !!!!! I have had my eye on one of these for some time now. Looks like you are taking things to the next level in the shop.

Nice lift! And it will save your body alot of wear. Great way to step up a level with business.

Great pick up! I love mine! It makes it so much easier! Good move!

I have been looking at those for a while. Sounds like setup was a breeze. Would sure save my back when buffing down low.

Thanks guys!

Funny you should mention that! Figured it would be a good time to give my rockers some attention. I also got to try out my new Flex PE-14. Hit them with wool and clearcut follwed by Hyper polish on a black CCS pad.

The lift made it a breeze.

What a great buy! I so want one of these and have started saving. It'd be for personal use, but I love to wrench on my own car, too, so this would help that fix and the detailing fetish.

I have been thinking about getting one ever since it was featured in one of Ammo NYC's videos.

How long does it take you to set it up? And how heavy is it? I would be using this on the road, I am a mobile detailer... do you think it's portable enough to carry around and setup at each client's location?

Thank you for sharing! Seeing it in use is very helpful! :)

I looked into getting one of these in 2016. I called QuickJack and spoke to a gal who was very nice and helpful. One fact gave me pause - they only provide a one-year warranty and there is no way to extend it. If I recall correctly, warrantied parts are shipped at the cost of the customer. I may be wrong on the shipping piece (I hope I am), but the short warranty really turned me off and so I decided to pass. Every time I do a two-step on a car I think about how nice a big scissor lift would be.

Has anyone here had a negative experience with QuickJack? I want to trust the brand and product enough to just get one, but I can never pull the trigger. They're less expensive than the scissor lifts that I've looked at.

Congrats Justin! Very nice addition to the garage for sure. I too have been eyeballing those lifts. Surely will take the back pain out of detailing the lower sections of a vehicle.

I can see wheels off details in your future.

Thanks for sharing with (inserted) pictures.

I wonder if they would damage or dent the Racedeck tiles in our garage?

Would love to have a lift system or two in the garage to make buffing lower panels faster and easier, we use the garage for so many different projects that whatever we get it would have to be easy to remove out of the way when not in use.

For example, I’m going to polish the wheels on this old 2-door Chevy today with the Mothers Power Cone and this means plenty of butt- time on the floor.

Note the patterned tile Racedeck flooring.

I do the same as well. Between running the business and maintaining my vehicles it was a no brainier.

I would love to say that you could easily use this for mobile work but each plank is about 105lbs. Me personally I couldn't see lifting these in and out of a truck all day. Maybe a trailer with a ramp you could roll them out as they have wheels on the end of them. I know under the warranty they ship out parts no charge according to a video I saw where a gentleman needed a new quick connect fitting. As for setting up it's just a matter of putting the planks in place and running your hydraulic lines under the vehicle and connecting to the pump. Plug the pump in and your good to go

Absolutely. Been doing wheels off detailing already but with a floor jack and stands.

Hey Mike. My first thought would be no they shouldn't. But I bet customer service would know better. They come with wheels on the end to pickup and roll them around. Setup is pretty easy too.
