I've got too many detail sprays that contain some sealant (V7) and wax (Adam's), etc. I'm going with PBL Surface Coating for piece of mind. I'll use the booster once a month or so.
You can't go wrong with PBL coating at all. :dblthumb2:
I would say however that you DO NOT need to apply the 'booster' every month. I've found if it's on a dark color, such as metallic blacks and solid blacks it'll actually make it look like it's smeared and discolored. The only way to fix it sometimes is a light polish then re-apply the coating (starting all over).

BLACKFIRE's formula does not work well when topped with a wax or sealant...
So no sealant on this new coating product.
Uhhhh that's a big maybe though. :dunno:

4) I can continue to use BF Wet Diamond Polymer Spray when I want to boost the shine
5) I should avoid using BF Crystal Seal Paint Sealant once this is applied

4. Yes.
5. Crystal Seal can be used as a "maintenance" product. It dries clear and will not clog the pores of the coating.
OK, so it seems that you actually
CAN put both a polymer spray sealant/wax AND a WOWA type sealant on top of the new Blackfire coating.
From the Deep Gloss Spray Sealant / Polymer Spray page:
"
A better solution is BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray (Sealant/Wax)....
This spray-on paint sealant....
Each bottle of BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray is packed with Wet Diamond polymers making this an excellent stand-alone sealant as well!
Technically, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray is a spray wax but the truth is, there is no "wax" in the product. It contains the same fantastic gloss and bonding polymers used in Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection and Midnight Sun Paste Wax. "
Boosted with Polycharger, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond Polymer Spray offers tremendous cross-linking capabilities
From the Crystal Seal page:
"
BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal is a paint sealant coating....
Its protective properties are like a sealant but better. As soon as Crystal Seal touches the paint, it begins cross-linking to armor your vehicle. This micro-thin coating...
BLACKFIRE Crystal Seal is a paint sealant in its truest form."

Which makes one wonder... could you actually use a WOWO sealant as well? Although originally it was said not to use anything. :dunno:
Remember, "thin is in" and there simply isn't any reason AT ALL to put big thick layers of the excellent sealants from Blackfire, Wolfgang, Meguiar's, Menzerna, etc. on anything these days.
With the above description saying that the polymer spray actually has the same ingredients in it as Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection it deserves a look.
From the All Finish Paint Protection page:
"
BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection is the state-of-the-art paint sealant.
Wet Diamond polymers...
The tri-polymer system...
Protection is further boosted with Polycharger ..."
There are several key 'buzz words' here. The use of "Wet Diamond polymers", "tri-polymer", and "polycharger" seem to be consistent with both the spray and the WOWO product, but NOT the WOWA product. Hmmmmm.....
I'd say.... rather than saying "put nothing on it", I'd say boys have at it!
As we all know, (
and having been victim to sale after sale after SALE, after new product after new, v2, v3, new and improved, BOGO, VIP, and the never ending plethora of ways to rid us of a zero balance credit card) the house products from PBMG are much more likely to be good than bad, (
although nowhere near cheap) that you're likely to end up trying something ON TOP of a new coating to find it works. Then what's so wrong with that?
All in all ---- the only thing that seems to hold true across the board is everybody, (and I do mean everybody) here will be VERY LIKELY (if not absolutely) to buff and remove a coating long long LONG before it's 1, 2, or 3 year expected durability cycle has ever been reached. Which..... is why so many, to this day, still go with a sealant or wax and call it a fun weekend out of the house. :dblthumb2:
