Many thanks to all who chimed in and have shared thier experiences with the various flooring options. Special shout out to Sizzle Chest for helping push me over the edge. I'm glad I got this done.

Its a 3 layer, multi step system that starts with a floor grinding to expose the poles of the concrete and offer up a fresh stain free canvas. Next a polyuria base coat is applied. Very cool to see how it expands and "grows" into the concrete thus why it won't ever peel or flake. Next the colored chips are applied and when the base is dry, loose chips are scraped and vacuumed away. Lastly the Polyaspartic clear topcoat is applied.

It really changed the atmosphere of the garage and definitely brightens it up. Can't wait to do a detail this weekend!

Looks super pro (as in: good look for your side gig) and sooo smooth. :dblthumb2:

How is that flooring for using floor jacks on? Is that something that’ll tear it up or is it that tough? Trying to figure out what to do for our garage floor. I put a ton of miles on and all the salt brine dripping off my car has done a number to whatever paint/coating the previous owners had done.

No issues on jacks. I plan on getting some quick jacks later this year. Chemical wise, no acetone, acids or extended exposure to bleaches.

Love your great banners Trump and OSU. I might have come visit when I come to stay friends house in Sunbury since I live down in Trenton ,
Ohio.

Was professional installed or did you do it your self ?

Sweet shop everything looks detailed neet and clean real professional. And I too love the Trump banner

+1 on the banner. In fact that would be a prerequisite for me like it has become for many, many other things.

My neighbor is in the process of doing the same thing to his garage so I'll be sure to show him this thread.

Thanks everyone. Open to visits anytime. I usually detail on weekends and get people stop by to sit and chat and enjoy a beverage all the time. My wife jokes that it must be a guy thing to want to sit in a garage and talk cars, enjoy drinks and watch people polish someone else's cars. LOL!

Flooring was done by a local company. I do a lot of things but moving a 800lb floor grinder is not my thing. Moving everything on the floor out and back again was challenging enough. They did a great job and were in an out quick. 1 Day for the garage.

Banner wise, even my liberal friends laugh can appreciate it. I jokingly tell them I've not seen too many of their candidates flags in a garage :) besides, it hides what's under that bench which are my buckets, a small ladder and my commercial carpet extractor and hoses. :D

Your garage looks great! Nice banner too :xyxthumbs:

I looked into a floor coating similar to yours when doing my garage but opted for Vinyl Composition Tiles instead, primarily due to cost. The tiles I did myself for just a few hundred bucks. The floor coating estimate was around $2,500.00 - $3,000.00 if I recall correctly.

Regardless of the type of floor finishing anyone goes with in a garage, having a finished floor is a really nice improvement. And so much easier to keep clean than bare, unfinished concrete. You could even drop your clay bar, pick it up, and keep going LOL.

Yeah love the flooring. Nice size too. Is it detached or connected to home.

As for the garage thing is it’s funny how often when I go to friends houses we’re hanging out in the garage.

Looks great! I would love to do something similar in my shop but I’m thinking the size would make it pretty cost prohibitive to hire it done. Did it come with any kind of warranty since you had it installed?

Looks Great!

After I did mine, I've had people take their shoes off when entering!

That's very nice, I've considered the same thing.

Let me know if you'd like a Michigan banner. I'll send you one :). But you'd have to send the buckeye flag in return.

Floor looks great !

We're nearby in Rush Creek Village.

May have to stop by sometime to see what you've done with the Accord, got the same 2019 white pearl paint on our CR-V.
