Hey all! New to the forum, and the detailing world. Now that it’s finally starting to get nice out I figured I would read up and join here after lurking for a while to get some more insight on detailing my car!
I own a 2005 Subaru WRX. Last summer I experimented with a clay bar and used wax for the first time. I had picked up a Mothers clay bar kit and some Collinite 845 (awesome wax). This is just a shot of how it came out:
And overall:
I’m excited to do a little detail here pretty soon. Given the cars paint is nearly 10 years old, it has quite a few swirl marks, minor scratches, and other small imperfections that really stand out in direct sunlight. What would be the best way going about making it look great again? I want incorporate a polish this time as well. As far as the process goes, and correct me if I’m wrong, I would first wash my car. Then clay bar it. Then polish? And then wax/ sealant? I’ll have to check the detailing flow chart again, but I’m just wondering what would be the best in my situation.
Thank you all for the help and I am excited to make my car look great again! Time to read everything on here!!
