New! Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner - in Action!

I don't wanna sound like an ass but its going to come off sounding like an ass/ungreatful; but I find it ridiculous that this wheel cleaner 35oz bottle comes with no spray head.

That is one thing that annoys me about GG products. They are the only company that I know of that doesnt include a sprayer!

Yea but they give you a lot of quality product (35 oz.) compared to say 16. oz. or 24 oz. for either the same price or less.

That's why I said I would sound like an ass/ungrateful. Its a double edge argument since the Griot's HDWC with the spray head is .57 cents an oz where the Sonax (on sale) is .94 cents an oz. But why does it not come with a spray head? Everyone else does so why not just factor in the price and sell it with a total of the Spray Head + Product? Either ways I'm going to purchase this product anyways AND the Spray Head but its just really odd.

:iagree: But it's probably something with going green. They figure if you're buying more of their products now, you've probably already bought some before and don't need another sprayer head therefore there is less plastic going out. :p JK I just like giving people a hard time.

I plan on taking care of that in addition to the regular review.

I met up with MDetail(Michael) today. Awesome guy! He gave me a good amount of Poorboy's Natural Look for free. Thanks Mike, I really do appreciate it! While I was there, he tested Sonax FE vs. Griot's HD. I'll let him fill you in with details when he posts his review. Pictures and a video, I think...

can't wait to read Michael's review!!!! i hope the wheels were dirty and not too clean:)

NICE! dirty wheel review will kick ass!!!! i don't think there is a product out there that would work without agitation.

The wheels were definitely dirty. I did a side by side on the same wheel (just used cardboard to help keep the spray on one side or the other.) Its going to take a little while so I am going to write out the review first (which will have some pictures) then I will put together my collection of videos I took. Hopefullly I can get the written portion done before I leave for work at 1:30. Just for a preview here are the wheels I worked on.

Good idea, Mike. :dblthumb2:

I know people are anxious to have some idea as to what went on.

thanks for the update Mike!!! looking forward to the review!

Looks like Sonax., which is NOT recommended for chrome. Does this work on chrome?

Per the label on Sonax Full Effect, it is in fact safe on chrome wheels.

Are you kidding me? Why is it not recommended for chrome? Griot's can be used on all wheel finishes.

The Griot's HD Wheel Cleaner is also safe on all wheel finishes.

Thanks for taking time and doing a comparative review between the Sonax and Griot's MDetail!!! I'm sure I speak for everyone that we appreciate your time on this! :) I'm definitely looking forward to it! *patiently waits*

Jim might be thinking about Iron X which should not be used on chrome wheels.
