Keep your eyes peeled on the "What's New" page for a brand new product from Optimum Polymer Technologies! It'll be live by 3:15 pm EST. :)

It doesn't appear to be a polish at all... just a spray and wipe... like CarPro Eraser, but geared towards the optimum coatings. This product was announced at SEMA.

Prep Polish for Non-Pros
•Currently:
-I see Optimum has it labeled as a: "Paint Prep".
[chemically cleans: using solvents; and, unlike
CarPro Eraser: has no surfactant]

-I see no designation, as for, which segment of
the Detailers' classification it was so formulated.

What he meant was only authorized installers had access to this product, now so does everyone.

Really?

No one else had access to a mixture
comprised of a couple of mild solvents?

This is a paint-prep product,
not a "polish".

it's there in tiny print, Bob. really tiny print.

"NON-PROS ONLY"

:P
Oh well...at my age:
It doesn't really matter that I can't
read the tiny print so much, as the
fact that I can't stop this incessant
slobbering all over the reading material...

Where in the he!!'s that night nurse at anyway.
Where's that freakin' duck? NURRRSE!!

Bob

Don't shoot the messenger
Did some mysterious message writer request
that you personally deliver a message...
without any regards, whatsoever, to your fortune,
or misfortune, in doing so?

Or...(speaking of "fortune"):
Was this supposed to be similar to the Westernized
version of Chinese dining, where "the treats" are
expected at the end of every meal?

:D

I'm pretty sure this has been available through Optimum's website for a little while now. I'm pretty sure anyone could order it.

I am trying to find my meds dispenser :)

Chris, if using Hyper polish, Optimum says you just have to remove the polish residue for proper coating bonding. They say one can use ONR for that. So now we are supposed to use this paint prep instead? I will be using gloss coat.

Some of these paint prep products defeat the
purpose as they marr the paint upon wipe off.

Is there any benefit to this, Bob?
•There'll be no surfactant-film left behind that:
-would have to be wiped-off (RE: marring concerns);
-or that could possibly interfere with the Coating's
application/bonding/curing/etc.

This product is to for removing residu from the primer polish that can sometimes be hard to see on light colored cars. I also has polymers for lubricaion, and solvent to clean oils away.

I purchased this originally to use with Gloss Coat, however my question is can this also be used prior to Opti-Seal with no ill effects to make certain proper bonding of the Opti-Seal?
