I think this calls for an across-the-board Optimum sale so we can get all the prep products we need for the new coatings. What do you say, Geeks?
I've had Opti-Lens on the headlights of my Mazda for several months now. So far, so good. :dblthumb2:

Is there any particular benefit to using opti lens on a headlight instead of opti coat? Or will opti coat work fine?
OC does not have any UV inhibitors. It protects the inhibitors in the clearcoat. It isnt going to protect polycarbonate that has been polished after fading. OL will do that for you.Is there any particular benefit to using opti lens on a headlight instead of opti coat? Or will opti coat work fine?
This is much better written than what I did, I shoould have read it before I posted mine. OC & OL are different products. I suspect OL will be at least as durable as urethane and easier to apply too! From the posts I've read, Opti Lens has higher amounts of UV inhibitors for non-CC surfaces that will breakdown sooner than paint. OC would be able to protect the surface from chemicals, bird bombs, etc. but not prevent UV damage from occurring to the bare plastic (if it has been removed by wetsanding, for example) UNDER the OC.
