New??? Or Rehashed???

Sure..

It makes removing waxes, polishes, sealants etc SOOO easy.. just turn up the speed to 5, you don't need to use any pressure, just slide it over the paint and the bonnet will remove the dried wax etc.

Welcome! It's much easier to apply a paste wax by hand, and remove with a PC.

I actually think, visually, the wax shines better with the use of a MF bonnet on the PC. I would still recommend using paste waxes by hand, and removing with a PC. Just my opinion.. :awesome:

I know my technique is not the most common but I like to apply waxes (and sealants) by machine with a grey 4" LC pad. I use a small battery powered polisher but a pc works the same way. I remove by hand with a cobra indigo towel.
The only LSP I still use by hand is Souveran (don't want to waste it and the pad doesn't fit the container).
I tend to spend a lot of time prepping and am usually pretty tired by the time I finally get to the fun part of waxing. The machine just makes it faster for me with less hand cramping.

Suprisingly I never liked apply waxes/sealants by machine but maybe that was b/c with 6" pads you used to much product and still couldn't get to some areas. I tried applying EX-P with a custom 4" blue pad Edge made for me, very soft, and it was perfect. I did the whole car much faster then by hand witha perfect even coat that was thin. I got all the awkward spots as well. And being a smaller soft pad, even if it absorbed some product it still put down easier then 6" pads, actually think I used less product then doing it by hand lol.

Haven't tried it with wax yet so I'll see. But I applied AIO and Sealant by machine with that 4" pad and came out great. Will be doing that from now on.

I can do this for hours upon hours, and have gotten used to it. 8-hours working on a car with machine or by hand is pretty standard for me. I sleep well at night too.. Im the MAN

I think by waxing by hand, it's more of "bond" with your car, if you know what I mean.. ;)

YOu are teasing me. These pictures make me wanna try BlackFire Wet Diamond carnauba wax.:o :D

luckily we differ in choice, as the more I research it and study the materials, the more this looks like a cheaper wax being "sold" or "hyped" as a Souveran look-a-like. ;)

Sure looks the same on his car, next to Souveran though... :D

"To his, his own".. I do not limit myself to one wax, I cannot.. I am a WAX addict!

pics can only provide a certain amount of detail ... in person we both may see different outcomes. I too am a waxaholic, but careful to wade thru the pool of hype that comes with each new product.

I agree with you. I have not purchased it, and I will wait for others to give it a try first. My upcoming waxes, are true and tried. My CC is going to hate DF next month.

Not really what I meant.
Who created it? Joint venture? I think I know but not sure.

Well I want to try it, but don't want to pay $80.
Is it really worth it? Is is really Souveran-twin brother, or is it more like Signature Series/Max Wax? $80 is a lot.

Only time will tell.. Im the MAN

I know Terry had a partner ( owner of AG ? ) at PBMA. I was uncertain as to whether both of them developed Souvran of not.
I would kind of stand to reason though if he created/helped on wax he could do another.
I have used BF paste and it looks great...beyond that time will tell. So however many items are on the checklist I can say it looks great. Should be applied thin and will remove easily.
I am not fond of the 8 hour cure time from a business standpoint.
Used Pinnacle PCL, BFGloss Polish, Sealant & Paste.... that puts it at almost 3 days to complete.
Time will tell. If we EVERY get any sunlight again I will get some pics.

Who is responsible for Souvran?

Pinnacle was a joint design between CMA and PBMA. It was purchased in total over a year ago by PBMA. Over the years, every product except the waxes were designed/tested/manufactured by PBMA exclusively. Max owns the exclusive rights to Souveran, and would never allow a Private Label version.

It seems like weeks since we have had clear skies and sunlight. I did take pics last week but was holding off hoping to get something besides clouds..hate having a pic take seconds to let enough light in.
