This brings up a question I've been wanting to ask. If you wanted to go over the car with something after a wash, which would be a better option over Opti-Coat: Optimum Instant Detailer or Optimum Car Wax? I hope to wash, Iron X, clay, polish, and Opti-Coat my car this weekend if I can.
Shane, its really just personal preference, but I use instant Detailer because i prefer the beading characteristics of OC and when I use OCW it changes it first a couple weeks.
@Chris:
what pad would I use with Megs 205 to "rough up" the panels before recoating with OptiCoat?
I have Excel detail pads from forever ago, black (finish), blue (semi-finish), green (polish), yellow (light cut) and orange (cut), along with the Megs MF system.
I think the green will be best as long as it finishes good.
