New Promo Video for us - feedback appreciated!

Great video! And your work is some of the best I have ever seen! Keep up the great work my friends:)

We give it our all, i know there are plenty out there better than us, but we can't let there be TOO big of a gap! Thank you again for the support.

Very Nice! I love Promo vids!

Yeah i saw a couple nice ones that kind of inspired me to make this one...took me a year to get around to it but, finally got it done amateur style! lol

Very Well Done

I like that you didn't try to give it a Corporate Feel

I would have shown less of you and more of Dani

I tried to keep it interesting and upbeat...i get excited when i detail and owners usually get excited when we are finished, so i tried to capture that lol.

Hey i had to put me in there some, i keep getting accused of doing nothing but taking pictures!

Awesome vid man. Loved the music. I'm from the "ghetto" never heard that tune from my bedroom window lol! Your teams skills are on point!

Yeah can't say i ever have either lol...guess we'll have to find that ghetto one day. Thank you much for the comments!

Wow! Definitely shows that you guys do awesome elite level work, in a way that isn't boring or slow. Anyone deciding whether or not to choose you or your competition won't have much of a decision to make after seeing that vid. Seriously

And what the heck is ghetto music? You gotta be pretty anti ghetto to make the connection between that song and ghetto anything.

Thanks man, we've had a few hits from it for potential jobs, nothing booked yet but hey, its something.

And i have no idea :bash: lol

Video is excellent!
Music IMHO is "commercial corporate"

I think it is GREAT! Good Job!!!

Thank you much for the feedback. Might be a minute till i do another, that one whooped me lol.

Great work. Though the music brought in each clip perfectly...

Being that I'm a musician, i had to have the video go along with the music and really wanted the crescendo of the music to be matched by a crescendo in the video clips...came out pretty decently i think. Thanks for the feedback :props:

lol ghetto music? If I had to choose a genre under the general term "ghetto music" It wouldn't be what the OP used in his youtube video. Just saying. I hate to see what you would call rap music.

:dblthumb2: , thats all im saying lol

I liked it...music too! Well put together and the music, to me, was impactful. I wouldn't change a thing. Nicely done.

Thats a good word to describe what i was going for, impactful. Thank you much :xyxthumbs:

Great video..not too slick to seem phony.

Yeah i really wanted to try to bring viewers "into the garage" so to speak...whether they detail or just like cars...i wanted to kind of show on a real life basis what it is we're doing when we rock out a long detail. Its not all soap suds and expensive wax thats for sure!

Great video and very well put together. Love the Cadillac CTS shot :xyxthumbs:

I was going through our pictures of the couple of CTS V's we'd done and saw that one..i was like whoa, didn't even know Dani took that picture! Looked like a magazine shot...i had to use it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Love the video. While the music would not be my first choice you have done an excellent job of syncing it to the video.

Really a nice job to accentuate and compliment you and your staff skills.

:applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:

Thank you and im glad you liked it even if the music wasnt your first choice. All the promo vids ive seen usually have very soft gentle music, which is definitely nice..but i wanted to hit a viewer between the eyes with this one at least.

Cars look excellent. Great job.

Thank you :dblthumb2:

Wow, really top notch.

I liked the fact 'work noise' mixes with the music rhythm, show!

Everything showed is properly, Yes, I liked it that much.

Kind Regards.

That did turn out pretty cool right lol. Thats what took the longest, finding the right clips and getting them to perfectly sync in with the downbeat of the music...was worth it though in the end.

Excellent job on the video and all of those cars, great looking work and that wheel well/suspension was nuts, looked like it just rolled out of the factory.

I for one love seeing the ladies getting serous about cleaning cars.

Nicely done, and I love the "Kill Bill" music, was my ring tone for about a year and half.

Pulling wheels is a love/hate relationship..if i had a lift it would be only a love relationship :)..one day.

Dani is hardcore when it comes to detailing for sure...its fun to see her schooling customers on the regular, but they listen!

Glad we have one more +1 for the music :props:

Nice presentation of your work, music was ok to me. I don't care for the pop out panels from the left with the words because it covers too much of the work. Let the words pop out on their out without the dark panel.

I chose a certain type of "theme" when i was creating the movie and thats the "title theme" that came with it so i rolled with it since i was trying to give it a "movie" feel, but i do understand what you're saying. iMovie is somewhat limited to say the least, but ill see what i can do for the next one :)

I think it hits your target audience, showcases your skills, done professionally, and isn't too long for the viewer.

I would watch to see in your analytics who is viewing it, how long, and such .

Cheers,
GREG

Greg if i was that technically inclined you can bet id do so lol...im not the best with analytics but if you ever feel so inclined to school me you can bet i'll be all ears :)

Great Video Will :dblthumb2: It show's exactly what your capable of........I liked the music and how everything was synched.

Great Job!

Thank you much!

I liked it. Music is fine IMO. I noticed the black panels on the left with the wording kinda blocked some of the pics too. Maybe you could have them pop up from the bottom? Not a big deal though. I agree with the folks that said mixing the work sounds in was cool. Good job.

As noted above it was just the movie theme i was going with...im thinking about purchasing final cut to have more flexibility...maybe when i get the movie itch again ill pull the trigger on it and have something better :dblthumb2:

oh boy, so let me start off by saying I am a videographer/editor so a lot of this will be technical

Lets start with the audio, I thought the music was a great selection, the video really flowed with the music, most of your jump cuts to the music were great, however some of the sections where you here the natural sound were not really necessary, the sound clips of the exhaust I thought could go because the quality of there audio was not that great, I did however like the audio with the d/a's being used

Titles wise most of the titles were really good but in the beginning it got a little repetitive maybe use the other side of the screen to bring in and out your titles as well or alternate from one side to the other, I would also make your titles a little bigger also in the beginning titles the images I would make them just stills instead of zooming in on them, it takes your eyes away from the titles that you want people to read, also the title with the before and after photo of the trim protection I think the title needs to be made a little bigger

Image wise I thought they were all very effective, from the overall shots of the car's to the up close swirled out pictures they really worked well, however like I said the images in the beginning I thought should be still no zooming on them, the other image I thought was a little annoying was the zoom in on the exhaust pipe, the second picture has no zoom on it

And last on the final screen with your logo I would put your phone number on it too, you have the number in on the water sheeting off the hood section but it kinda get's lost while your watching the water sheeting off

Overall the video was great, I'm just nit picking so if you want to make changes you'd maybe keep my suggestions in mind but I really enjoyed the video, it was short and effective and got your message and info out there

I love constructive criticism and appreciate all of your input above. I did wish i had more choices for titles but with just having iMovie, there weren't a lot of options and i didnt want to have 15 different types of titles going...i did think about how much nicer it would be to have the titles come from the other side, but didnt know how to accomplish it.

Note taken on the zooming and honestly i didnt notice the one exhaust tip pic zoomed while the other didn't, i thought i had made it so that neither did but looks like i missed something in the editing...good catch :dblthumb2:

The quality of the motor running i agree was a bit "raw"...but was all i had (cell phone recording) and i had to increase the volume quite a bit so it did definitely distort the sound (that part i was aware of), but nevertheless wanted to keep it for that part of the video.

Thank you again for all the feedback and i'll try to incorporate it into the next project. :dblthumb2:

Will, as I mentioned many time before I am a huge fan of your work. That song is very popular and will one day be considered a classic. I don't think it's "ghetto" music at all. Sometimes if you ask 10 people a question you will get 10 different answers. So here's an answer from one person. Great job.

Thank you again, as always. I love what i do, just as always, wish we had more constant work flow coming it. Im not complaining, but there are some guys i see, booked 30 days out on the constant and i'm like yea....that must be nice not having to worry about where your next gig will come from. Thats the hardest part for me...the detailing, i love and enjoy :dblthumb2:

I just watched it again.

HUMP

Lol nice, now i know where the views are coming from. Definitely hoping the video will get shared a lot to catch "non detailers" eyes and hopefully spread a little knowledge to the car wash goers :)

To me, that term has racial connotations, and the fact that a 10 year old would be able to non chalantly (sp?) say that in front of his parent, well, it's concerning. Again, maybe it's just me.

I'd have to agree i felt that way a bit too when seeing it but i also know that text/forum messaging can sometimes get lost in translation...but for the record, i feel you.

I still think you two do some of the best work out there, the video was really awesome and I hope it helps you promote.

Wanna make me one?

Haha, thank you but flattery wont have me make you a video! I had a hard enough time with my own. Leave it to the professional below!

If your interested I can make you one, pm me for details

^^ Let him make you the video. Btw if you do make one be sure to show me the finished product

I like it all including the music. Very well done:dblthumb2:.

awesome video for sure! crammed full of money shots along with your hard work. congrats !

very nice!

as a few mentioned before, make sure the panning of the video is smooth, if you have already invested in good polishers and products, you can invest in a good camera stabilizer. It will save you lots of time on the post production.

Music is always a matter of preference, you just need to know the market you are aiming for.

Keep it up.
