New Rupes Polisher - The tool I used on the Lady in Red

Some of you that read through this write-up,

This tool works great as long as you use the right technique or "good technique" and that is...

Light pressure, not heavy pressure. Use light pressure and the pad rotates fast and the mechanical action of the orbit length, pad type and abrasive will do the work.

Is it an updated version of the former model? What`s the difference in comparison between the two?(New and former?)

The new LHR12 is a smaller sized machine with a 12mm throw. It appears to be similarly sized to other smaller DAs like the GG and PC7424XP.

The LHR75E is simply an electric version of the LHR75 pneumatic polisher that has been on the market for a while now. This also has a 12mm throw.

I'm waiting to see the price tag. While I like my GG3" I feel it does lack some power.

Heard the LHR12 is a similar sized DA with more power and smoother compared to the current options we have at the moment. Hope we get more info soon.

I was looking at buying the LHR 21.
My guess is this is geared at GG6 users and so on. Wondering how much quicker it will be and if it's worth upgrading my GG6?

So should I get the LHR21 and have my GG6?

Or GG6 and an LHR12?

Well, what I'm going to say is highly speculative, but, from pictures off the Bigfoot website, it seems to me that the new LHR 12E and LHR 75E might have similar motor and stuff and a possibility of interchangable backing plates?

Looks like there is two backing plates now. One for foam pads which is grey. One that is black which is enhanced for the microfiber pads, that ships on the LHR12

Looks great as always, love that red.

I'm hoping to add a Rupes machine to my tool box to take over primary duty from my 7424 in the future.

i hope this is true! I'm just going to have to get this! the GG is definitely having a little too much vibration for me making my hands go numb!

This product makes perfect sense and I'm surely going to replace my trusty PC with this. I like the shorter, small size which is why I enjoy my PC and haven't replaced it yet.
