Has anyone seen their paycheck lately. I have direct deposit so I normally don't look at it. WTF!!!! that 2% increase + the health care tax/insurance is pretty significant if you project it for the entire year. On top of this, I still am paying health care premium through my employer each pay period.

I feel like I am getting screw by the government.

The 2% increase was the ending of the Obama 2% credit that was initiated in 2011 and scheduled to expire 1/1/13 anyway.

As far as getting screwed by our government, you "ain't seen nothing yet", bro!

Hope you like communism. Those that voted for him...shame on you. Not to start political debates because they are frowned upon in the forum world.

You can alway's move to Russia.

Forget calling him Santa, he's Obamahood, steal from the rich and give to the poor (so they can get their benefits and sit at home and figure out how to get on Maury or Steve Wilkos) because that's how he got elected!

Do you guys know that a law passed here in Illinois to give illegals a drivers license? Think about that RIGHT NOW! They said so they could get insurance and be covered when they get into a wreck, yeah right, like they give a rats ass about that sort of thing.

You are right. I live in the most liberal city in US - San Francisco. I had to rant somewhere since my complaint generally falls on deaf ears around here.

Funny you mentioned communism. I went with my wife to China to visit her folks a little while back. They asked me if our government know how to budget itself. They said that we are spending more than we take in which in turn devalue their currency. This came from someone who lives in a communistic country. They have better understanding of capitalism than we do. LOL!!!!

Dude, in Illinois they tried to pass a "bullet tax" of 5¢ per bullet, except it didn't make it because with a .22 it cost more than the freaking bullet! Then they did pass a $25 "gun purchase tax". Why did they do this you ask? Because by their numbers it takes, on average $55,000 to patch up street thugs in the ER from a gunshot wound. They estimated that 31% of all shootings were caused by illegal guns, so how to help with that but TAX 69% of the Law Abiding Citizens of the state to help raise (an estimated) $600,000 to help pay the ER bills for thugs that they need to take of the street anyhow. Go figure...... :dunno:

On another note; It was said earlier at Barrett Jackson (Cox Charity Car Auction) that "Five children have died today from child abuse". That being true, we turn our backs to over 1800 children each and every year and nobody says a word. Shame on us!
Sounds like we Obama to ban all mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and baby sitters so we can get a handle on that.

Sorry you feel this way...
Hopefully you'll be able to reap the benefits one day, as I do now.

According to the Social Security Administration:
Maximum Taxable Earnings:………......2012……………….2013
Social Security (OASDI only)……….$110,100......…..$113,700
Medicare (HI only)…………………………….N o L i m i t…………..

-My sincere wish is that for everyone that’s gainfully employed earns, at the very least, the
maximum taxable wages/earnings listed above…Hopefully a lot more.

BTW:
-The 2% increase barely covers the 1.7% C.O.L.A. for Social Security recipients (such as myself).

Although: ~$1260 a month isn’t going to make me a rich man…
...........Thanks for your support!!...........

Est. Average Monthly S.S. Benefits beginning January 2013: Before 1.7% COLA…….After 1.7% COLA

Unfortunatly this increase is from the bush era tax cut. It was only supposed to be temporary, then obama extended it for another couple of years. Statstics say those tax cuts are responsible for half of the national debt. I hate making less money also. I need to wash my car! (Detailing related) LOL

Spot on!! We pay all this money into it and they say were running out. I know im not the smartest person, but thats bad math.

Like you, I'm no math genius either, but you don't have to be one to know we're in for big trouble when the 47% becomes the 53% and the 53% becomes the 47%.

Its time like this im glad i dont pay SS. In Texas we have we use a program called the Teacher Retirement System. We pay into that instead of SS and its much more flexible in terms of how/when you retire or decide to draw.

Hard to believe that SS is going broke. Between what the employer pays and what the employee pays it's near 14%. Imagine that, 14% of the US payroll going into the SS fund and it's going broke! Many of those that don't pay into SS get short term jobs after their "retirement" and collect SS benefits.

Appoint me as emperor and I'll take care of this and many other problems pronto!!!

Good thing no one making under $250k is going to get a tax increase! I believe he said "not one dime". He is correct. It wasn't one dime...it was 1250 dimes a month in my case.
