There is Tons of great advice given on this forum. I don't always log in or post, but Marks posts (and many others) on the Griots Garage 6" DA pushed me to buy one! The lifetime warranty doesn't hurt either.

The GG6 is my main machine, with a 1st gen pc as the 4" pad machine. Looking forward to warmer weather.

Even though everyone else said it, go with some 5.5" pads. Personally, I'd go with Optimum Opti-Bond for tire shine.:xyxthumbs:

Are you happy with your decision to purchase the GG DA? :)

I haven't had the chance to use it yet. But I hope I'm as pleased as many of the people here are!

Next step is the Megs MF system, as soon as all of the component pieces are available thru AG.

I do have a questions to ask you tho...

A friend of mine has a lexus 400h with I presume soft paint, will the MF finishing pads with m205 be enough after d300 to correct any marring/haze if any; or do I need to purchase Hydrotech pads to finish with m205?
_________

I apologize for the threadjacking! :offtopic:

I can't wait for you to try the GG, you're gonna love it!! :dblthumb2:

Tough to say about finishing with MF pads and M205. If I had to take a guess, if it's soft paint, I'd say you might not be able to finish perfectly with M205 and MF pads. I could be wrong! It would be a better bet to try M205 with an LC black/grey pad. Sometimes M205 will not finish micro-marring free on soft paint, period. It depends how hardcore you want to be with the finish?

So this one?
Black Lake Country 5 1/2 Inch Flat Foam Pad

Which gray one? And which 4" finishing is recommended?

Well, there will be payment. So Anything I do to it will look better than it does now lol. But I'm not looking to follow every deep scratch either. I'm hoping the GG will make short work of it. I did his STi awhile ago with the pc/m105 and it came out great. I hope I like the GG!

Just want to cover my rear in case there is anything left after mf/d300.

Don't hit it with the compound at all, just the 205 with the Meg's da compounding disk, speed 3.5-4 on the gg, slowly moving your arms along, give it a shot I know it sounds weird

People choose to call it what they want, but black and grey are the same pad. Get the same 4" pad for finishing.

I agree, try the least aggressive method first. :xyxthumbs:

Gotcha guys! Thanks. Though I don't see any 4" flat finishing pads on AG, short of ccs and ht. I'll probably start my own thread a little later to get a wider audience. :xyxthumbs:
