New website is up! Need some advice and input!

I agree there is to much info need to shorting up the wording. No one wants to read that much when choosing a detail package. The website looks great very nice job. One of the compliments I get on my website is that it's easy to ready and easy to navigate.

I agree, and nice website you have there, Todd.

Lots of good help and suggestions from other forum members.

Regarding pricing, one of the best tips from Renny Doyle's book (I thought) is to leave pricing off your website. Some people might be turned off by the pricing on the website and never call. Even still, you get the phone calls "How much to detail my (insert name of car here)?" But at least those people are picking up the phone and you are getting to explain some things to them and hopefully set up an inspection and quote.

The best thing I ever did was take my pricing down. I now list the time it takes me to do a specific service. That way they are thinking, "Wow! he's going to spend a lot of time on my car!" and they pick up the phone to find out how much! I've been getting way more emails as well.

I know that taking your prices down can be a scary thought, but it works. I, as well, took this advice from Renny Doyle.

Has anybody mentioned that the use of the word, "basic" seems, well...basic?

I don't like the word, but I can see how it could be used as a stepping stone to upgrade a client to a more expensive package. It might just make you look basic though haha. Might try deluxe.

My first impression of your site was good. I agree with most of the other comments everybody made. All pretty much sound advice. That GTR looks sick.

This.... I had pricing on my site and noticed alot of traffic that left the site off the pricing/service page.
I got rid of it and just dealt with detailed explanations of the services
My business definitely increased once that happened. I dealt with what the customer was looking for in a detail first and avoided price. Once I knew what they were looking for, the benefits of using us was the primary conversation, pricing was the absolute last thing they heard, with a review of why we charge what we charge for their situation Making it tailored to that individual and how spectacular their car will look reduces pricing resistance.
We track conversion rates... phone conversations/web site visits that turn into actual appointments, and we were at 60% with pricing, once we removed it, we are 90%+

I will have to try it and see what happens.

I finally got mine up, I like how you have yours setup so I used a little bit as a reference. I wanted to get something basic setup so I could refer people to it: ShineByDesignDetailing - Home and so far people have liked it. I did get some moron on FB yesterday say we do car/truck and suv for $90. Then I looked at his facebook page and he can't spell or formulate a complete thought. Figured so much for him being competition!

Thanks everyone, I left my prices because I want people to have an idea of what it will cost and + no one around my town can come close to beating my prices even local car wash places so I'll stick with them :)

Looks good! I noticed you used iPage as your host, thats good. I built several sites with iPage in the past.

You must of used wordpress then? You got the free domain from them also right?

I read the same in Renny's book about not having pricing. I told my wife and we both said the same thing, we always leave a site if there are no prices listed. I would never call a company to find a price for something when they can just list the price on their website. It happened to us a couple months ago when we were trying to rent equipment. We looked up a couple local rental centers, some had prices the other we had to call. We never even bothered with the non listed place. So they lost our business, and they could have been cheaper but I was looking for convenience. Calling them is just a hassle for me, the consumer. Sorry to the OP, just had to get that out. Site looks good though!!
