For cogitative objectives, I submit, for the "new word(s) of the day",
05.18.2012, the following:
Rheology
Definition:
1. Branch of science that deals with the flow of matter, mainly liquids; and, in some cases, solids and soft solids as well.
2. The study of the deformation and flow of matter.
3. The ability to flow or be deformed
And...
Shelf-life
Definition:
1. The term/time period, during which a stored commodity remains effective, useful, or suitable for its stated intended uses/purposes.

-Often, a member of the AGO forum will inquire, in so many words: "How long are my car-care products good for"?; and, "What measures should be taken to ensure they stay good as long as possible"?
(I can only assume these questions are in regards to the
shelf-life of car-care products.)
-As such...and along with responses from many AGO forum members, products' manufacturers, etc.; to muse/ponder....
I will infer that, for car-care products:
Chemists'/Formulators, and their knowledge of
rheology, would be the ones that seemingly would have the ability to provide the most 'learned-response' concerning this issue.
BTW:
-Is Collinite #845...(which often must undergo a: pre-application, "
Jerry Lee Lewis-que Process")...Thixotropic?
