My paint was pretty nice before for an old car with 97K miles because I've been using Meguiars Speed Glaze with a 10" Craftsman orbital and then following up with Zaino products. A couple months ago I used Klasse AIO and S100 and it looked even better.
I could never get the paint totally clear though. So I decided to start buffing friends' cars for $50 and did enough to buy the Porter Cable with the XMT swirl remover package and some extra pads for waxing, etc.
It's hard to see in the pictures but when I look really closely at the paint I can see the XMT products and assortment of Lake Country Pads really did a great job of removing the little micro scratches my old stuff couldn't get. I'll get some pics in the sun the next time the clouds go away
