My paint was pretty nice before for an old car with 97K miles because I've been using Meguiars Speed Glaze with a 10" Craftsman orbital and then following up with Zaino products. A couple months ago I used Klasse AIO and S100 and it looked even better.

I could never get the paint totally clear though. So I decided to start buffing friends' cars for $50 and did enough to buy the Porter Cable with the XMT swirl remover package and some extra pads for waxing, etc.

It's hard to see in the pictures but when I look really closely at the paint I can see the XMT products and assortment of Lake Country Pads really did a great job of removing the little micro scratches my old stuff couldn't get. I'll get some pics in the sun the next time the clouds go away :)

Before PC, After AIO and S100:

Excellent job!
I do alot of Supras and that one is nice bro. You did your homework.......and it shows.

Thanks guys :)

Yeah Justin, I saw your posts about detailing some of those supras. You really brought that black one owned by the author back from the dead! Excellent work :righton:

I removed most of the S100 with a wool leveling pad and microfiber bonnet with the PC and finished with a cobra microfiber towel and when the sun shined into the garage I could see really fine swirls in the wax. Should I get those out with a towel or with the PC and bonnet?

PC and XMT1 to remove the small swirls. Looking good, I love supras!

Oh the swirls were gone after XMT 2 and 1 but then came back after waxing. The swirls were just in the wax though so they'd go away if I went over them with a MF towel. I'm wondering if I should just go over the car again with the PC and MF bonnet to remove all the extra wax and avoid swirls?

Thanks! The flash did it a lot of justice :D That was using my old cheap orbital and 3M FinesseIt 2 followed by Meg's Speedglaze. I haven't waxed it yet but I think I'll do it again with my PC and get the rest of the swirls out. I only charged her $50 but she was so happy she gave me $100

I didn't get a chance to do that crazy curved frontal area yet. It's pretty dull and banged up. I'll probaby have to do it by hand if the PC with 6.5" pads can't reach.

I'll see if she'll pull the car out in the sun this weekend for some pics.

Another rear corner shot, rest of car not touched.

lol. Yeah there are quite a bit of classics that come out on weekends just to sit in the driveway and show off :) They probably just think I'm a ricer with a big exhaust :p
