Morning all!

I have finally made the long overdue decision to stop being a lurker in the dark and finally join one of the most informative fourms in detailing their is

Iv been enthusiastic about valeting/detailing for roughly 6 years now, the obsession started when my dad bought a new car which came with the complimentry bag of autoglym and i always wondered "how on earth do you use these products" "how can i get this mark off, how can i make it shinier" etc...
I remember trying to mix 'extra gloss protection' with water as i thought it was a kind of wash and wax, that'll teach me for not reading the instruction haha!

I currently spend time being a weekend warrior on the 2 family cars - i have a 2015 seat ibiza FR in nivarda white and my dad owns a 2013/14 model BMW 640D in a dark metallic blue, unsure of the proper name for it

As for chemical and equipment list, i have accumulated a fair amount of stuff so far, I mainly buy chemicals in bulk as i have people approche me asking to do their cars so paying £10-25 for a 500ml product is not worth the hassle

Pretty much all of the meguiars detail and mirror glaze professional range
Car pro iron X
Meguiars clay
Meguiars G220 V2 with corrosponding foam and microfibre pads
All meguiars microfibre towels
CYC foam lance
Meguiars wash mitts
Auto finesse desire

As you can probably tell by now im a sucker for meguiars, through and through, I still try other products with success but i always keep going back to meguiars! I must have caught the megs bug!

Anyway, iv got a couple of projects id like to chase up and tell you about, iv asked the owner of an aston martin DB9 to allow me to perform a swirl and scratch removal job and give the entire car a fresh look so im waiting on a reply and a suitable time, also the same treatment on a friends car, skoda octavia VRS in blue, im really looking forward to those!
If anyone has any experience in detailing such cars, come on down! Id love to see some end result shots of them :D

Anyway, thats a quick little intro from a newbi to the fourm! Id like to thank everyone on the fourm in advance for all the information you pass on in the threads

Ill look forward to hearing from you all in the near future!

Mike
