Nitrile glove users??

I never wear gloves. I don't like how they feel. Do you get use to them after a while?

I only use gloves while cleaning interiors. Past that I figure my hands will wash. LAVA soap is my friend!

I don't wear gloves either. However, I could see why someone would want to do so with a customers car, particularly when it comes to the interior. I only detail my cars and the cars of friends/family, so I don't run into the crazy stuff some of you see.

I'm with oldz. I never really use them except when i use megs wheel brightener and when i use tire wet with an applicator.

p.s. l love the new logo Seajay

Are these nitrile gloves any different than the gloves from a hospital, non-latex or what have you. Use to use those for any type of cleaning, but can't really get a supply anymore.

The gloves aren't necessary, but my hands get really dry and it's difficult to get the dirt out from under your fingernails. Didn't know costco carried gloves....probably going to pick some up.

Actually I think this is an interesting topic. I normally don't wear gloves, but my hands take a beating. Especially if I wash them too much. They just dry right out. So I ordered some Nitrile gloves, but have yet to try them out. Sometimes gloves just take away the feeling, ya know???

I'm kind of surprised AG doesn't sell hand cleaners??? When working on suspension parts, engine compartments and what not, my hands get pretty grubby!

I use gloves for interiors only. I don't use them all the time either. The gloves fill with sweat real quick and when I elevate my hand it all runs down my arm. So unless the interior is disgusting I don't use them in the summer time.

You have to use powdered gloves or your hands will dry out fast as one person mentioned their hand looked like an old mans!

Ummm....The guy could've had sex with a dirty hooker earlier that day and not washed his hands. Serious, who knows what people do in the private lives. They could always be picking their nose or anything. My example may sound funny but how do you know what goes on in peoples cars?

hmmmm I really never thought of using the gloves while detailing. I just kept gloves around for mechanical work on my cars. Time to try something new.

I always wear gloves while working on my car!

I feel that the gloves somehow heighten the touch sensitivity + no oil or sweat transfer to the paint!

I control the sweat problem by spraying a powerful antiperspirant or deodorant inside the glove and on my hand before putting them on or there are loads of AlCl preparations that can be used on your hand to control hyperhydrosis.(but consultation with a Dermatologist is needed prior to that)

+ working with gloves on gives that professional look lol!

And yea, clay sticks a lot to the glove, so I usually spray Qd on the gloved hand and then use it.

I use them most on just about everything other than washing the car. I like them because not only do they keep the chemicals off of my hands, they also keep the oil and sweat from getting on the surface I am working on and my towel.

I hate when I am buffing paint with a MF when my hands are sweaty and then flipping the towel to only find out that side is wet from the sweat on my hand.

I hate wearing them but do it out of necessity.

+1 This is exactly how I use them. The only time I don't is when washing. The rest of the time my hands have the gloves on (unless I forget them). As Mike Philips always says, "Work Clean".
