I can't truly capture all the damage thats been done to it as its all over the car.. and I mean all over from pillars, roof, spoiler... anywhere you looks there are swirls and chips and dings and blah...

wow....

yea.. kinda wished i spent the money to fix it instead of pocketing it after the accidents but can't do anything about it now but move forward with good techniques and probably get it resprayed at some point. the hood and fenders need it for sure.. i think the bumper will buff out

crazy thing is I somehow still get compliments on the car.. i'm assuming its just because its a mustang but its not even a gt :/ i just shake my head because i know how bad it is

oh yea, got a couple glass chips as well - very tiny but just spotted this past weekend

Repainted panels, scratches, scuffs, rids, etchings, egged-paint fracturing, chips, oxidized and weathered trim, etc...
Why not go for broke...I'm in.

edit: Any signs of CC failure, and, or flaking paint? SS repairs?

If sn0w is cool with it, I'm going H.A.M on that paint.

If we could turn that baby around, it would make the before & afters so dramatic.

You said that you wanted experience. I'm done today. Got a lot to do tomorrow before laying down 15 hours on the road.

The scenario works out perfect. Be safe David.

I concur. excited.

We could detail at an agreed location or here at my home. Maybe if the weather is nice enough we could have my SO grill us something to grub on.

You may have to bring your own tools as I don't have much to my collection compared to you all. I do have a Rupes 21 that many have been on the fence to buy and I have no problem letting anyone try it out with the pads I have.

Anyone have microfiber pads to try out? I'm looking to make the jump but would like to witness the power first hand.

Also, what do we have in mind for grub/drinks? I'll eat anything. :)

we can each bring something or chip in for something for the group. don't matter. let's get this conversation going. :hungry::xyxthumbs:

Yes, I have a few from Meg's ranging in 6", 5", 3" sizes. Which brings up another great idea. For those that plan to attend, we could maybe get a list of what each person has so that others could either try out, sell/trade/buy/sample. As I said previously, I don't have much to offer in my arsenal other than a spigot with a hose, a garage with poor lighting, and a two lamp stand light.

Only great thing about where I live is that it's out there and the driveway is long enough to accommodate many cars. No one will bother us and vice versa. I'll post a pic up later.

For food, we can either go out to eat at restaurant, hire a catering service with everyone chipping in, or if grilling sounds better than the rest, we could just kick back and enjoy a few brews while the meat cooks. We have a month ahead to plan so we have more than enough time to make a decision.

What's the date of this again? I have a car to work on June 1st & 2nd and military training the 8th & 9th.

Cool. I can bring some HD, Duragloss, some pads, and some other special items. ;)

I've got both GG machines, some Car-Brite compounds/polishes (black pearl line) that I can bring, LC flat pads (typical colors), rotary, keg :). Nothing earth shattering or no special items on my end. just enthusiasm and looking to improve on technique/efficiency.

really interested in the HD products, Richard. :xyxthumbs:

Oh, and I vote, if it's all the same, weather permitting, that we grill/chill instead of going out. but i'm open to the majority as well.

having a frew brews :) and some grilled foods makes it a lot more casual and less structured, which is good. We can coordinate who's bringing what closer to the date.

Nice! Just a head's up, I plan to purchase Sonax's Perfect Finish this weekend and maybe a clay alternative.

What is everyone's preferred drink? (For those that do drink)

Well, i typically enjoy a bottle or two of these after work:

henri jayer grand cru richebourg vosne romanee cote de nuit burgundy france, 1962

:D but since it's probably not to everyone's taste, _____ Light is good for me :). Soft drinks and water is good too.

6/29 works for me. I don't have a lot of polishes, as I always buy the smallest size (Optimum / Wolfgang). But, I have a GG6, and a 7424 anyone who doesn't have a DA is welcome to use.

I do have a lot of soaps and spray waxes. I also have some decent 'nubas (Bouncer's CTR coming tomorrow), a MTM cannon, and smaller quantities of a lot of stuff AG sells - if anyone want to try anything particular, post it.

Also, I can bring this:

Oh heck that's before my time! I'll make sure we have enough fluids to feed the thirst.

This is awesome, wish I could be part of this, but I'm down here in Florida.

Hey, it's only a 17hr drive. I did it before.:p
