Count me out. I broke my ankle both the fibula and tibia today fishing....had a small slip on a tree root. Fun times ahead. It's still surreal that its broken based on how fall of a fall it was. I'll be having surgery next week.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, scrace. Bad deal all around. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
OAN:
Don't quite know how to put this, so here goes.
I have been granted a new lease on an old career. I will be leaving on the 16th, or the 24th (depending on finalization) for a 3 week week stint in Ark., followed by a full time driving job with an Indiana company, Charlotte terminal, Maryland turnaround. Wasn't planned. Kinda stumbled on this opportunity after my recent Chicago trip. I just filled out an app online, and the wheels were set in motion. Sr. recruiter confirmed this afternnon. Kinda surreal.
If you guys need to use gas pressure washer, rotaries, or anything that I have (Grand Prix and generator excluded), send me a pm and I will get them out to P'ville this weekend, or at the OP's earliest convenience. It's not like I will be needing them for a while. I was so looking forward to meeting fellow AutoGeekians at this event. At least I still have my detailing bucket list.
Thanks!
The paperwork and history needed for this is ridiculous...and I've barely scratched the surface.
This meet was to be the highlight of my summer. Wishing much success.
I won't even have the opportunity to view the after threads from this meet for some time. Not taking the laptop.
Happy detailing...:buffing:
Still have room fellas?
I wanted to get a feeler to see if anyone would be interested in a team detail/clinic day. It was an idea that has been brought up before and there was some interest with other locals.
I know most of you detail professionally and this would be an opportunity to hone my skills by learning some new tips and tricks from the veterans here. I am a weekend warrior at best but I have gained much interest in my work by word of mouth from family, friends, and co-workers.
We could detail at an agreed location or here at my home. Maybe if the weather is nice enough we could have my SO grill us something to grub on.
I could provide the vehicle to work on or if anyone of you would like to volunteer a vehicle that is fine by me as well. You may have to bring your own tools as I don't have much to my collection compared to you all. I do have a Rupes 21 that many have been on the fence to buy and I have no problem letting anyone try it out with the pads I have.
I am free most weekends and would love to meet any fellow detailers. Chime in to get this thing rolling! :autowash::detailer::buffing:
Man. Was looking forward to shaking your hand.
Good luck with your venture sir. We'll keep you in the loop with how it goes and future plans.
