Not sure what to do - Help

Yeah, definitely will shop around. I was tempted to do it myself at home. I found this site that sells original touch up paint for cars. They have spray cans as well as buckets. I do have a 30 gallon air compressor at home. What you guys think?

Havent you learned your lesson? YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!

I got some 3m ppf a few years back for my Audi. The same thing happened to me as it did to the OP. I even sanded it down to see how deep the adhesive went: through to the primer! I have the car in the shop getting painted :(

But as most people here have said already: don't be cheap! "If you think the pros are expensive, you should see how expensive amateurs can be". Do it right the first time.

I wouldn't go that route. I mean you can, as long as you know how to paint, and have a paint booth with ventilation. But making it match the factory paint will be a pain. I would just bring it to a shop.

Plus, one time...I ordered off one of those sites that claim to have factory paint. It was WAY off in color. It was a lot darker than my car.

Definitely will get professional to do it, So far I got a good price of $700 to repaint the hood, fenders and buff the front bumper. Not a bad deal, looked to be on the cheap side. Need to do more research to make sure they are reputable.

I wouldn't be surprised if you get that same price quote a few times. Pretty much about half of what the dealer will charge, is usually what privately owned shops will run you.

Just clarify that you want a factory match. No orange peel, no swirls, if there's flake in your paint...you want that too! Otherwise they may cut corners and hit you with a solid black. Most body shops get black in bulk. So they try to use it up.

Thanks for the heads up, hopefully they won't put their bulk black on my car. I'll have to clarify with them that the black on my car contain pearl in it.

nismo where you from? there is a chance someone maybe close to you and can stop by to take a look at it in person. that would give people a better idea of how to "attack" it
