Obsidian Black Subaru Impreza Sti - Detailed by Lawrence

WOW like others have said amazing work. I'd like to hear a little about the engine detail since you could not use water. BTW the engine detail looked equally as awesome.

You invested some serious time into this detail.

For the engine bay I first blew out any loose dirt/debris. I then mixed up some Cyclo CM30 APC at 3:1 and sprayed it onto a Terry towel which I used to wipe down all the areas I could get to.

I then used some Chemical Guys Bare Bones as the dressing...

Bare Bones is some good stuff, lasts a long time as well. Again great job.

No joke on the paint softness, had an sti last week and got a ~95% correction with 205 and finishing pad

Thanks. Yeah I love it for wheel arches and engine bays - I just find it to get used up very quickly in the spray bottle it comes in

This is starting to make me miss my WRX. Wow, great turn around on the paint. This one really needed some love but I think it deserved it.
 
Nicely done Sir!

I can attest to Subby 'soft paint' (wife's car is one), but man does it correct nicely (easily). It's just the maintenance during the winter that get's it 'messed up.' It seems to 'mar' with just a hard look...LOL.

I m very impressed by the correction power of FF4000 , I thought one would ve needed some FF3000 considering the job at hand .

On anything other than soft paint I doubt the final finish will provide much cutting power, but on these soft Subaru's it seems to do the trick:dblthumb2:
